2 September 2018 Grand Knights Message
Dear Brother Knights,
Though August was a quiet month for our council we had a very enlightening event with the
Knight to Remember being hosted at our Parish on August 18th. It was well a=ended and the
fesIviIes were well received with lots of food and dancing. What a great event to a=end
and assist with. I want to thank all our brother knights that helped to make this event very
successful.
Our council meeIngs in August were well a=ended and I want to send out a special thank you to Don
Palmer for stepping up and chairing our upcoming ID Drive.
A couple of items I do want to point out and we would like your involvement:
1. I am proposing changing the formats of our bi-monthly council meeIngs. I am proposing
changing the 1st meeIng of the month to a business only meeIng. (Which means officers and
event chairman only at this first meeIng of the month.)
The 2nd meeIng of the month to a membership meeIng, which means all members are welcome
and the council officers and chairman will report out from the business meeIng. We are
voIng on this proposal at the first meeIng on September 11th so make sure to come to vote.
2. We have emailed the budget out to all members and would like for all members to review.
This budget will be passed at the September 11th meeIng as well. If you have any proposed
changed to the budget be sure to communicate to myself or one of the officers.
As we start September we have a busy month coming up.
Events for September:
9/2 – Family of the month presentaIon 8:45am Mass
9/9 – Pancake Breakfast 6:00am – 1pm (Hall A&K)
9/11 - Council Business MeeIng. 7:00pm (Hall A&K)
9/19 - Monthly AdoraIon Holy Hour 7:00pm (Church)
9/25 – Council Membership MeeIng. 7:00pm (Hall A&K)
9/29 – Knighthood Degree & Dinner 12pm-6pm (Hall A&K)
9/30 – Pro-Life Rosary vigil. Meet at the Monument of the Unborn at 8:35am (ASer 7:15 mass)
As I stated in the past, we could use all of your help at council events. I understand we are all busy but
let’s all do our part in serving together. Thank you.
Your Humble Servant in Christ,
GK Ken Eazell

MAKING A CHANGE
We would like to make a change to the monthly council meetings and change the format:
The 2nd Tuesday of the month will be a Business Meeting for officers, directors and committee chairmen.
The 4th Tuesday of the month will be a General Membership Meeting for all members.
We would propose making this change starting in October; but, would like all council members to vote on
this at the September 11th Council Meeting.
Please come to the September 11th meeting to vote on this proposal.

Field Agent’s Message
Hi Brothers and Lady Knights,
I pray this letter finds you all in good health and stress free and in great spirits.
This month’s article is about retiring happy and having not just a paycheck in retirement, but to also provide a PLAY CHECK! All that means is, not only providing for the basic needs in retirement, such as mortgage or rent, food, utilities, medicines, clothes, etc. But also to have the funds to be able to do the things we promised ourselves when we retired. Like Sailing, golfing, vacationing, cruising too far away places, etc. These things we dreamed of before retiring, sometimes never happen! Only because we don't have enough money saved for those play checks. Yes, we have the basics covered but what about the FUN! Especially with inflation creeping in and adding more cost to our living expenses. This affects us that are already retired and keep us from those fun things we wanted to do. If you want to have a guaranteed income stream for life that could provide you these things and more, wouldn't you want that to be GUARANTEED! The answer for all of us should be YES! If so I urge you to get with me so I can go over just how the Knights of Columbus can give you a GUARANTEED income stream for as long as you live! Yes that is exactly what I said. A guaranteed income stream for life that will give you the paycheck and play check for life no matter what the future holds with inflation and cost of living increases! Pretty awesome, right?
Even if your retired already, the Knights of Columbus has this for you as well. It's never to late to get this going. If you would like to know more please get with me as soon as possible so we can get started today. The time clock is ticking. Don't wait till it’s too late and be unhappy in retirement. That's not what we want for you and I'm sure it's not the way you want to live!
God love you all always! Best Regards,
KEVIN GARZA FICF
