A Rich Tradition in Christ

The North Wisconsin District Camp

Why We Have a Camp“Camp Luther provides a creative Christian educational experience in cooperative living in the outdoors. It uses the resources of the natural surroundings to contribute significantly to mental, physical, social, and spiritual growth. It provides opportunities for boys and girls to observe young adults (counselors, whom they learn to admire and imitate) speak and live as children of God. It provides opportunities for boys and girls to encourage one another and build up one another in the faith through words and actions.” (Spring 1968)

Walter G. Roehl, member of the original North Wisconsin District “Camp Committee” organized in 1945.

Our MissionBuilding up believers in Christ for service to the Church and witness to the world.

Core Value #2

Relationships

“My camp friends are always a call or text away. A place to go when I'm in need of some reminder of the unconditional love and forgiveness that is mine through Christ.” - Sarah

Relationships

Core Value #3

Teach, model, and practice servant leadership to encourage others to take positive action for building up the Kingdom of God.

Servant Leadership

“I am not alone in saying that working (and occasionally struggling)through three summers at camp has shaped me into the person I am today. I have confidence to go boldly in faith and love generously in the world because I was shown such love and unshakable faith at camp.” - Erika

Core Value #4

Create experiences to explore and discover unique interests and talents that transform their lives toward meaningful service to God.

Meaningful ServiceOur son really took his Impact session to heart. He has helped our church get ready for renovations in the Sunday School. He gave up his entire weekend! Thank you for showing him why mission work and service projects go hand in hand. - Jennifer

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
