Registration So Far…

You should have selected all of your required courses for next

year.

All students should also have registered for any required

courses which were not completed this year.

What Are Elective Courses?

Elective courses are courses you choose to

take depending on your future plans and

interests. Read the course descriptions

carefully as they can not be changed.

What Are Alternate Courses?

Some classes that you register for may not be

available. Alternate courses are classes you

choose to take their place and will be scheduled so

choose accordingly.

Why Do I Have To Register For

Alternate Courses?

Next year’s schedule is determined bystudent requests and the budget that

CIHS is allowed.

Some classes that you wish to take may be full, or may not run, therefore, you must select alternate classes to take

their place.

Be sure to choose at least four alternate classes. You will be able to

prioritize them when registering online. 8

Anywhere with internet access

Students may choose to register from home, from school, from the public

library, from the CIHS media center… anywhere with

internet access

Registration Tasks For Today – February 12thFinish selecting your next

year courses

Register for your classes online using Student

AccessRefer to page 10 in the Registration Guide

Select Next Year Courses Have your directed study teacher

check your course selections!!

Make sure all selections are recorded on both copies of your colored, pre-registration sheet

One copy will be handed in today, one copy should go home for a parent signature today

Select Your Classes Online

Online registration will be open from February 12th – 18th

Follow the directions listed on your “Online Registration Instructions”

Remember to register for 15 credits and a minimum of four alternate classes

Reminder: When registering for classes

online, please remember to click on the “Alternate

Requests” tab before selecting alternate

courses.

Refer to step # 9 of the online instruction sheet on page 10 of the guide

Warning!! You need to use your Student Access login and

password to register for your classes

Your parent’s passwordwill not work!

Important Email Address Info

While in Family Access, please add or update your email address (Example on the next

slide)

Our email notification system is a great way to receive important CIHS information

Please have your parents/guardians log into Family Access and add their email too!

What Do I Need To Do After I Have

Registered For My Classes Online?

Turn in the following registration materials:

Your colored pre-registration sheet – signed by your parent/guardian

The printed copy of your course selections (follow step # 10 on the “Online Registration” sheet )

Your registration guide - if you do not choose to keep it

Remember to registeronline no later than

Wednesday, February 18th at 1:00 pm.

Registration materials will be turned in Wednesday,

February 18th during directed study

Your teacher may collect materials before that date

Consult your directed study teacher for details…
