• Future Ready Students for the 21st Century
• Goal 1 – North Carolina public schools will produce globally competitive students.
• Goal 2 – North Carolina public schools will be led by 21st Century professionals.
• Goal 3 – North Carolina Public School students will be healthy and responsible.

DISTRICT GOAL 1
• District Goal 1: To increase by 2% the number of students in grades K-2 reading at proficiency so that students will read proficiently by the End of the Year as measured by assessment data.

DISTRICT GOAL 2
• District Goal 2: To increase by 2% the number of 3-5 grade students at or above proficiency level status by the end of the 2014-2015 school year as measured by EOG data in reading and math.

• District Goal 3: To increase by 2% the number of 6-8 grade students at or above proficiency level status by the end of the 2014-2015 school year as measured by EOG data

• District Goal 10: To develop and implement Honors Curriculum Guides for approved courses so that students and teachers will be evaluated and assessed by February 28, 2015 as measured by testing data (Note: CCS has been selected for Comprehensive Honors Audit by NCDPI Spring 2015)

• District Goal 11: To identify staff which directly serve Academically Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Students so that professional development will differentiate instruction to meet the needs of these students by the end of 2014-2015 school year as measured by student growth.

• District Goal 12: To increase the number of peer observations by 5% so that teachers will be provided feedback by multiple observers as measured by North Carolina Educator and Evaluation System (NCEES Standard 1 and 4).

• District Goal 13: To increase graduation rate by .5% so that 2011-2012 cohort will graduate by end on 2015 school year as measured by reporting data

• District Goal 14: To decrease the number of major discipline incidents by 10% as measured by discipline data

• To decrease the percentage of students defined as being bullied during the 2014-2015 school year by 5% as identified by Bullying Survey

• District Goal 16: To inform parents of all state initiatives and opportunities including but not limited to the NC K-3 Literacy Model, NC College and Career Ready, Credit by Demonstrated Mastery, AIG Opportunities including Governors School, during the 2014-2015 school year so that stakeholders will be informed of initiatives
