Abstract Submission deadline: Friday, 19 October 2018, 23:55 GMT+1. Abstracts should be of no more than 2,000 characters (including spaces, excluding title). The structure of the abstract depends on the type you choose:
Oral Presentation | Clinical Research: Introduction, Material & Methods, Results, Conclusions, References
Poster | Clinical Research: Introduction, Material & Methods, Results, Conclusions, References
Poster | Case Study: Case history, clinical findings, Investigation/Results, Diagnosis, Therapy and Progressions, Comments, References
The final decision in regards to the presentation type, however, will be taken by the Scientific Committee.
Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author to present at the congress if accepted.

Authors will be able to draft the abstracts online and may return to the site to edit the texts of the abstracts if necessary. Authors are free to finalise their texts and submit their abstracts at any time before Friday, 19 October 2018, 23:55 GMT+1. No changes can be made after this deadline. 1. Please create your own account under "Author sign up". You will then receive an Email containing your access key. Please check your spam folder if you don’t receive an Email within 60 minutes and contact us at abstract@conventus.de.
2. Please login with your access key and your email. Click "Abstract Submission" and follow the indicated steps.
3. After your successful abstract submission you will receive an email confirmation. Please also check your spam folder here.
4. You may login at any time to submit more abstracts or to make changes to abstracts already submitted until the abstract deadline expires.
Notifications Notification of acceptance and information regarding presentations will be forwarded to the authors immediately after the reviewing process by e-mail the latest by 23 January 2019. If an abstract is accepted, it is mandatory for the presenting author to attend the congress. Modalities of oral and ePoster presentations will be sent with the notification of acceptance. Accepted ePosters will be accessible to delegates in the poster exhibition area. For an abstract to be included in the final scientific programme, it is mandatory for the presenting author to
register for the congress and to settle payment as soon as the notification of abstract acceptance is received and
not later than 28 February 2019.
Abstract Publishing By submitting an abstract, copyrights are transmitted automatically to the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery. Abstracts will be published in a supplement of the European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery as they have been received.
