Clayton Meadows (Albany)

Population: Seniors/Disabled Amenities: Large community room, laundry facilities on each

floor, air conditioned, and landscaped patio and outdoor garden area.

River View Place (Albany)

Population: Seniors/Disabled Amenities: Large community room, laundry facility on each

floor, air conditioned, secure parking, and within walking distance of post office, senior center, library, and shopping.

Cottage Creek (Albany)

Population: Persons with disabilities, persons needing in home care providers, and persons with psychiatric disabilities

Amenities: Each unit has a private patio or deck over-looking picturesque Periwinkle Creek, are equipped with washer/dryer hookups, and the second bedroom is an upstairs loft.

Camas Commons (Corvallis)

Population: Families, seniors and persons with disabilities Amenities: Fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer

hookups, energy efficient design and appliances, handicap accessible units, large community room with kitchen, laundry facilities, and outdoor play areas with tot playground and half court basketball. Also located on bus route with nearby shopping center.

Cypress Gardens (Lebanon)

Population: Persons with disabilities Amenities: Handicap accessible units with a community

room and laundry facility.

Riverside Park (Brownsville)

Population: Family unitsAmenities: Rural setting with private patio, washer and

dryer hookups, and landscaped common grounds.

Pioneer Court (Brownsville)

Population: Senior / DisabledAmenities: Within walking distance of post office, library,

senior center, and medical clinic. On-site coin op laundry, private patios, and landscaped common grounds.

Thomas Creek Court (Scio)

Population: Family unitsAmenities: Coin-op laundry room, landscaped common

grounds, and centrally located to schools and shopping.

Springer House (Albany)

Amenities: Linn County Mental Health Services leases entire facility and provides 24/7 staffing.

Burkhart Apartments (Albany)

Amenities: Linn County Mental Health Services provides daily contact/services.

Section 8 Housing Rules Report all changes in income in writing

within 10 days. Voice mail IS NOT an acceptable method of notification.

Include ALL information such as what change occurred and when the change became effective.

All changes in income must be received in the LBHA office NO LATER than the 20th of that month to affect a decrease in the following months’ rent.

DO NOT participate in illegal drug or violent criminal activity.

DO NOT commit any serious or repeated violations of the lease agreement.

DO NOT damage the unit or property. Remember that YOU are responsible for your

property and any illegal activities your guests may engage in and/or damage your guests may cause!

Section 8 Housing Rules You must have Housing Authority AND your

landlords approval before adding a household member.

Notify LBHA within 10 days of the birth, adoption, or court awarded custody of a child.

Any series of guests may not occupy the premises for more than 30 consecutive days, or more than 90 days in a 12 month period.

Give LBHA a copy of ALL notices including any

eviction notices within 10 days of receipt of the

notice.

If you have to leave a message for your case

worker, please provide a name, number, and a brief

message stating why you are calling.

Remember, your case worker is working hard to

accommodate everyone. Please allow 24 hours for

a response.

Family Self-Sufficiency In 2014, Linn-Benton Housing Authority FSS

Program graduated 17 families 13 of our families no longer needed Section 8

Rental Assistance and are off Assistance completely

2 FSS families purchased their first home The Housing Authority awarded $79,420.98 in

earned escrow to FSS Graduates in 2014 LBHA currently has 80 families enrolled in FSS

and 11 in VIDA

Family Self-Sufficiency

In 2014, seventeen FSS Participants increased their total income from the time they started on FSS to program completion by $617,704.

The average length of time of participation for FSS families averaged 3 ½ years!

In 2014, two FSS families complete the VIDA Program, both with Homeownership IDA’s. These families received $24,000 in FREE money that was used as their down payment on the homes they purchased.

Family Self-Sufficiency

FSS is a voluntary “Employment Based” program offered to all motivated Section 8 participants

Assists low-income families in reaching economic independence within 5 years by connecting them with resources and partner agencies in the community.

In conjunction with FSS, Coordinators administer the VIDA program available exclusively to FSS participants.

Family Self-Sufficiency

FSS offers Goals Coaching for credit repair, credit building, employment services/referrals, mental health referrals, post-secondary education, financial education and homeownership

The FSS program is an opportunity to catapult YOU towards success!
