դ. Թուխտ սիրոյ և միաբանութեան, շարագրեցեալ կղէմէս աստուածաբան վարդապետէ։Առաջաբանութիւն։
Նա զի արդ գրիչս իմ անյարմարս կարօղ լինիցի երբէկ պատմագրիլ, ըստ պատշաճի զմեծամեծ յիշելիսն։ Որք ի վաղ ժամանակի անտի պատահեցան յեկեղեցին հայոց. և զի արդ մեք անհընագէտս յանձնառնցուք ճառել զանցեալ ծածկագոյն խորհուրդս այլասեռ ազգի, մինչև ցայժմ ո՜չ կարաց Ֆրանկ պատմիչ ոք զբուռն հարել ի սոյնպիսի օտար պատմագրութիւնս։ Բայց սակայն յուսացեալ ի յօգնութիւն սրբոյ աստուածածնին յօժարապէտս ախորժեսցուք համարձակիլ և ի յայս անհոռն ծովս մտանել...
