Mini-grants are now available!
Butte 4-C's now has mini-grants available.
A high priority will be given for facilities:
Affected by significant natural events (floods, etc.)
Newly registered or licensed providers to meet licensing requirements
Licensing compliance such as balance of funds needed for full year of insurance, egress windows, play equipment, etc.
Professional development, particularly courses taken in preparation to meet STAR One requirements and to assist with year one professional
development plans, etc.
Practitioner registry fees for caregiver not in STARS
Business equipment such as a computer to manage CACFP claims and customer billing
To assist in continual quality improvement or to meet additional requirements, including CACFP best practices
It is a reasonable expectation that purchases including shipping and handling are covered as part of the awarded funds. Mini grants are not to be used for programs formally enrolled in STARS and receiving incentives, since STARS incentives can be used for like purposes. Mini grants are available in a single grant award for a total not to exceed $2,000 for a group/family provider and $3,000 for a center provider. Providers must be in business for the duration of the grant or will refund the Early Childhood Services Bureau in full. A provider is eligible to receive another mini grant only after an existing grant period (one year) comes to an end. They must wait until their previous grant end date passes until they are eligible to apply again. Mini grant applications are available at the Butte 4-C’s. Review of applications will begin October 17, 2016. Please submit mini grant applications to the Butte 4-C’s office.
200 copies of these public documents were published at an estimated cost of $36.00 for printing and $25.48 for distribution. The
total production and distribution cost of these documents is $61.48 This project is 100% funded under a contract with the Montana
Department of Public Health and Human Services. The statements herein do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the department.
Welcome new STARS to Quality providers!
Butte 4-C's welcomes Janet Fjeseth, Kasie Baker, Lynn Piazzola, and Kelley Rauch to the STARS program! A celebration dinner was held on
September 16th to thank and honor all of our STARS to Quality providers. The Early Childhood Services Bureau issued a STARS to Quality
Challenge this summer. They wanted to increase the number of providers in the STARS program. Butte 4-C's Professional Development
Specialists and our current STARS providers met the challenge and we added four new programs! Congratulations to all of our STARS
providers!
