Roles of GPS Satellites
GPS satellite transmits the signals,in principle to inform the users whoreceived it the information on :
- satellite position- its distance to the user- time of observation
By observing the signals fromenough number of satellites, theuser can derive its position andvelocity, obtain precise timeinformation, and can also estimateother parameters.

ANTENA GPS
Hasanuddin Z. Abidin, 1996

Pemakaian GPS terkesan sangat mudah.
Uneg-Uneg tentang GPS (2)
Hasanuddin Z. Abidin, 1996
-
Hasanuddin Z. Abidin, 2003
GPS can not be used in the places where GPS signal can not reachthe antenna, as inside the room, inside the tunnel, or underneaththe water.
Although the accuracy provided by GPS is relatively high, its system integrity is relatively low. To increase its systemreliability, GPS should be strengthened with other externalsystems and a reliable integrity monitoring method.
In term of vertical component, GPS can only directly providethe ellipsoidal height, and not the orthometric height which isused in practice.
GPS signals are not free from errors and biases, ostructions, andinterferences.

IAT = GPS + 19.s000,IAT = UTC + (1. s000).n
