1 John 4:9-10

“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his

only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love,

not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the

propitiation for our sins.” (1 JN 4:9–10)

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who

does not change like shifting shadows.” (James 1:17)

“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who

called us by his own glory and goodness.” (2 Pet. 1:3)

“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his

only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love,

not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the

propitiation for our sins.” (1 JN 4:9–10)

“Save me from the insults I fear ... I want to obey Your commands ... Show me how much you love me, Lord, and save me according to your promise. Then I can answer those who insult

me.” (Ps. 119:39-42)

Important Truth:Past sorrows can prevent future joys.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for

God is love.” (1 Jn. 4:7-8)

“In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his

Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10)

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still

sinners, Christ died for us.”(Romans 5:8)

“…you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when

you followed the ways of this world…following its desires and thoughts…by

nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God…made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in

transgressions…” (Eph. 2:1-5)

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

(John 15:13)
