Pre-diabetic? Type 2 diabetic? Let’s bridge the gap between what you know about diabetes and what you need to know to feel better.
Camille LoParrino, Health Coach, Author and Resident of Dundee, will begin a conversation dealing with diabetes. Based
on her personal experiences, she is prepared to talk about…
What can I eat? How much should I eat? What times of the day can I eat?
Are there foods that are friendly to diabetics? What’s the best way to cook?
Come and join Camille in this conversation

that help people eat better and live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Here are foods Joy recommends to help you lose weight and prevent blood sugar spikes...
BEANS (including black, white, navy, lima, pinto, garbanzo, soy, and kidney)
Couple these carbs with protein. (Example: Salmon and beans – see Dr. La Puma’s recipe).
Beans are a winning combination of high-quality carbohydrates, lean protein, and soluble fiber that helps stabilize your body's blood-sugar levels and keeps hunger in check.
Beans are also inexpensive, versatile, and virtually fat-free.
