• Liberal Arts• Rural• >1300 FTE students• ~ 450 faculty (100) and staff (350)• Large number of local students• Large number of 1st generation students

Infrastructure@Juniata.edu • 1,750 network ports• port-per-pillow (1,000 ports)• 4 data T-1’s (1 dedicated to the IT floor)• 1 long distance T-1• fiber to every campus building • wireless • 643 faculty, staff and lab workstations• 2 video conferencing rooms• campus cable

Technology in Academics

• 11 public access labs w/215 high end workstations - a 6:1 ratio

• Classrooms 95% LCD/TV 70% DVD 10% smartboards

• 100% faculty use electronic tools• Students required to complete IA• Yahoo most wired list
