A.M.M.

India is my Country. All Indians are my brothers and sisters. I love my Country and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage.

I shall always strive to be worthy of it. I shall give my parents, teachers and all elders, respect, and treat everyone with courtesy.

To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion. In their well being and prosperity alone, lies my happiness.

THE SCHOOL SONG

PLEDGE

JAIHIND

Lift up on high your voices to-day In praise of A.M.M. School. Tell of her worth, all over the earth, Proclaim her golden rule. Refrain: Hail, A.M.M.! All hail, A.M.M! We’ll honour your name always; All o’er the land on ev’ry hand, Our loyalty display

Light up the torch of learning each day, To light life’s road with its light; Caring for those who fail by the way, To lead them to the right.

Nobly aspire all mankind to serve, In loving service excel! Freely reserve, for all who deserve, your help all will be well.

Strive for the truth in life you will thrive; The truth shall make you free. Lean on God’s Strength, His mercy and love, He gives the victory!

1. ALL THINGS BRIGHT

All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all.

Eachlittleflowerthatopens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing col-ours, He made their tiny wings.

The purple headed mountain, The river running by The sunset and the morning, That brightens up the sky.

The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun, The ripe fruits in the garden, He made them every one.

He gave us eyes to see them And lips that we might tell, How great is God Almighty, Who hath done all things well.

2. AMAZING GRACE

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found, Was blind, but now I see.

Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear ThehourIfirstbelieved!

Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; It’s grace that brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise, Thanwhenwefirstbegan.

Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound That gave new life to me! He will my shield and portion be, His Word my hope secures.

3. GOD MAKE MY LIFE

God make my life a little light, Within the world to glow; Alittleflamethatburnethbright. Wherever I may go.

Godmakemylifealittleflower, That giveth joy to all; Content to bloom in native bower, Although the place be small.

God make my life a little song, That comforteth the sad; That helpeth others to be strong,

And makes the singer glad.

God make my life a little staff, Where on the weak may rest; That so what health and strength I have May serve my neighbour best.

God make my life a little hymn, Of tenderness and praise; Of faith that never waxeth dim, In all His wondrous ways.

5. COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed, When you are discouraged thinking all is lost. Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Chorus Count your blessings, name them one by one, Count your blessings, see what God hath done. Count your blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? Countyourmanyblessings,everydoubtwillfly, And you will be singing as the days go by.

Soamidtheconfilicts,whethergreatorsmall Do not be discourged., God is over all, Count your many blessings, angels will attend, Help and comfort, give you to your journey’s end,

Make me a channel of Your peace Where there is hatred let me bring Your love, Where there is injury, Your pardon Lord, And where there’s doubt true faith in You. Chorus Oh, Master, grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console To be understood, as to understand, To be loved as to love with all my soul.

Make me a channel of Your peace, Where there’s despair in life let me bring hope, Where there is darkness only light, And were there’s sadness ever joy.

Make me a channel of Your peace, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned In giving to all men, that we receive, And in dying that we’re born to Eternal Life. - St. Francis of Assissi.

6. MAKE ME A CHANNEL

4. SHOWERS OF BLESSING There shall be showers of blessing This is the promise of love There shall be seasons refreshing Sent from the Saviour above, Chorus Showers of blessing Showers of Blessing we need Mercy drops round us are falling But for the showers we plead.

There shall be showers of blessing Send them upon us, O Lord, Grant to us now a refreshing, Come and now honour Thy Word,

There shall be showers of blessing O that today thay might fall. Now as to God we’re confessing, Now as on Jesus we call.

7. LEAD KINDLY LIGHTLead, kindly light, amidst the th’encircling gloom, lead thou me on- Then night is dark, and I am far from home, lead thou me on, keep thou my feet; I do not ask to see, The distant scene; one step enough for me.

I was not ever thus, nor prayed that thou should’st lead me on I loved to choose and see my path but now, lead thou me on. I loved the garish days and spite of fears Pride ruled my will; remember not past years.

So long thy power Hath blest me, for it still, will lead me on. O’er moor and fen, o’er rock and torrent, till the night is gone; And with the mom those angel-faces smaile, Which I have loved long since and lost a while. - John Newton

This little guiding light of mine I’m going to let it shine (3) Let it shine all the time let it shine

Hide it under a bushel no! I’m going to let it shine (3) Let it shine all the time let it shine.

8. THANK YOU FATHERIfIwereabutterfly,I’dthankyouLordforgivingmewings; And if I were a robin in the tree, I’d thank you Lord that I could sing AndifIwereafishinthesea,I’dwrigglemytailandgigglewithglee But I just thank you father for making me, me.

For you gave me a heart and you gave me a smile You gave me your love and made me your child So I just thank you Father for making me, me.

If I were an elephant I’d thank you Lord by raising my trunk And if I were a wriggly worm I’d thank you Lord that I could squirm And if I were a crocodile I’d thank you Lord for my big smile But I just thank you father for making me, me.

If I were a fuzzy wuzzy bear I’d thank you Lord for my fuzzy wuzzy hair And if I were an octopus I’d thank you Lord for my good looks And if I were a kangaroo you know I’d hop right up to you But I just thank you, Father for making me, me.

Take this light around the world I’m going to let it shine (3) Let it shine all the time let it shine

Make my little light burn for thee I’m going to let it shine (3) Let it shine all the time let it shine.

10. PRAYER FOR INDIA

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;

Where knowledge is free;

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments

by narrow domestic walls;

Where words come out from the depth of truth;

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way

into the dreary desert sand of dead habit.

Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever widening

thought and action. Into that heaven of freedom,

My Father, Let my country awake!

- Rabindranath Tagore

11. BREATHE ON ME

Breathe on me, Breath of God,

Fill me with life anew,

That I may love what Thou dost love,

And do what Thou wouldst do.

Breathe on me, Breath of God,

Till I am wholly Thine;

Until this earthly part of me

GlowswithThyfiredivine.

Breathe on me, Breath of God,

So shall I never die,

But live with Thee the perfect life

Of Thine eternity.
