Japanese Internment
In 1942, FDR signed an executive order stating that Japanese-Americans must live in internment camps for the duration of WWII. This was because they were seen as a threat to American safety. More than 100,000 Japanese-Americans, many of whom were American citizens, were forced to live in these camps.
