40th Annual ASN Meeting
First Call forSession Proposals
Charleston, SC — March 7-11, 2009The 40th annual meeting of the American Society for Neurochemistry (ASN) will be held inCharleston, South Carolina from March 7-11, 2009. The program committee invites you tosubmit proposals for symposia, colloquia and informal workshops.
The ASN program has traditionally encompassed 4 broad themes:
1) Building the Nervous System
2) Glial Function in Health and Disease
3) Cellular Metabolism and Neurotransmission
4) Neurodegeneration
The program committee encourages proposals from younger investigators, and recommends thatsenior investigators consider having a junior investigator as a co-organizer. Both ASN membersand non-members are invited to submit proposals.
Details for submitting session proposals can be found at:http://www.asneurochem.org/ASN2009Proposals.htmQuestions and inquiries about session topics and session formats can be directed to Vittorio [email protected]
The deadline for session proposals is April 1, 2008.
Examples of ASN symposia, colloquia and workshops from the 2004-2007 annual ASN meetingscan be found on the ASN website: http://www.asneurochem.org/library/meetings.htm
Submissions for Sessions Should Include:1) The Chairperson (and when appropriate co-chair) name, title, affiliation, address,
email and phone number.
2) The title and type of session being proposed.
3) Description (up to 250 words) including a brief scientific background, the current state of thetopic, and why the session would be of high interest to Neuroscientists.
4) A list of speakers, their tentative talk titles, a list of 2 or 3 recent publications, and whetherthey have agreed to participate. Please note that the organizer of a session is not requiredto present.
The Deadline for Proposal Submission is April 1, 2008

A TOTAL APPROACH TO DISEASE MANAGEMENT
At Teva Neuroscience, our inspiration to achieve comes from knowing we help people who live with neurological diseases.
today we are expanding our reach with a vision to be the North American leader in neurology through the quality of our people, our products, and our focus on the patient. Each has a critical role, but the patient is at the center of everything we do.We are committed — through our own research and by supporting other organizations — to continue to improve
