We hope this newsletter finds you healthy and looking forward to starting a new year! While your Legion has been closed for several weeks, there have been many people involved in continuing to move forward with our plans and ideas to make your Legion a better place to meet, eat and celebrate! It is certainly trying times for all businesses; our Buffalo Legion is no different, but we WILL reopen and continue to make Post 270 bigger and better than it ever was before! As of right now, there are architectural blueprints that have been drawn up show-ing our ideas on remodel and expansion. Some of our improvements include:

Event hall remodel including the restrooms Restaurant & bar seating area reconfigured New & improved patio and event hall entrance expansions Relocating the pull tab booth

These are just some of the improvements that are in the works. We will be hold-ing fundraisers to off-set the cost of these improvements as well as sweat equity from volunteers. If you would like to learn more details, there will be a special meeting to answer your questions soon. There are other changes coming to the Post’s restaurant & bar. Popular food items and food presentation change frequently in the restaurant industry. Your Legion is making the necessary changes to stay competitive in the marketplace. Some of the changes you are going to see are:

New Club logo (see inside this newsletter) New staff apparel New plates, bowls, flatware and barware have been purchased and

donated for a better and more “upscale” dining experience. New Club menu with added items you see “downtown”, but without

the “downtown” prices. Steak Bites anyone? New cocktails and beer choices New weekend breakfast menu Shirts and hats will be for sale for public purchase

NEW MENU

Lastly…WE ARE AN AMERICAN LEGION. It is important to show our community we are here for them not only financially through their donation requests, but also to provide a nice place to wind down, enjoy a delicious meal and/or celebrate an event. Remember… THIS IS YOUR LEGION! If all 318 Legionnaires, along with SAL members and AUX members and their families visited us for a meal at least once per month, we would be one of the most successful establishments in Wright County! So, I ask you this: When we open again, please come visit. Your once per month visit would help us jump to a financial level we have never seen before – and right now, we’re sitting pretty good! Can you imagine being the “go to place” in Buffalo/Wright County? That is our goal! PLEASE HELP US MAKE THAT HAPPEN!

With that, I invite you to checkout other useful information inside this newsletter, which is written for YOU. You will find our new Club logo inside, as well as membership information, honor guard information and calendar of meetings and events (found on the back). If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at: [email protected] We’ll route your question to the appropriate person. Respectfully, Fritz Budig
