Personally speaking, it was a defining moment in my life when I met Dr. Bratt. It began when I en- tered Boise State College to study organ. I registered for organ lessons only to be told that the schedule of the organ instructor I had selected was full. By then, Griff had retired as department head, but was still teaching organ and theory classes. As I spoke to the new department head he picked up the phone and asked Griff if he would take another student. I said to him, "I'm not good enough to study with Dr. Bratt!", but before I could protest further, I was meeting a man I knew only by reputation. As it turned out, it was a match made in heaven. Griff and I always had a great friendship and I learned from him almost everything I know about organ and music in general. From Our Executive Committee

Our chapter presents many opportunities for us to hear excellent organists in concert. It is our hope that all of us would make it a point to attend as many of the concerts and chapter activities as possible. They are truly rewarding. The Les Bois Chapter Executive Committee is beginning to plan events for next year and ideas from the membership are always welcome. The Committee meetings are open to members. The meetings are held at St. John’s. Call or write a committee member for details.

MEETING SPACE AND ORGAN NEEDED

(Email to Dean, Ray Morvant from Lana Jutzy)

I thought I would see if I could get a note out in the next AGO newsletter re Grace Anglican

Church. The Lutheran's at ILC are not wanting to renew our lease on Augustana Chapel. They have decided

that they are going to do some remodeling, maybe adding AC to the bigger sanctuary and need Augustana to

meet in. We face needing a place by the end of August, possibly even sooner, as they would like us to vacate

asap so they can start their project. We have a signed lease that gives us till sometime in August. So?

As you know we are traditional, liturgical and need a space that accomodates our worship style. An

organ would be most appreciated. We've done ok with the little one up there in the loft. ON some Sundays,

the choir is 1/3-1/2 of the whole numbers of the congregation. We have pretty active involved singers!

So, just wondered if there would be a way to let the church people in the AGO know about our

need. WE do have a building fund that we are fortunate to have and are adding to. But, we need a place in the

interim till we find the place God wants us to land.

The Lutherans have been very gracious in leasing Augustana Chapel to us for about 5 years. WE've

been so fortunate. But, it may be time for us to find another church, building or tent!!!

Thanks for your friendship and attention to our little catholic *small c* church.

Joining the AGO through the national website New members can now join your chapter through the AGO national website: http://www.agohq.org/membership/join-as-a-chapter-member/. We’ve had a steady stream of new members since this page went live. When a member joins your chapter, the dean, registrar, and treasurer will receive a copy of the member’s confirmation email so that you can reach out to your newest member.

Reinstating membership

Former members whose memberships have lapsed can reinstate via the Join pages on the national website. If the email supplied matches one in our system, the lapsed member will be given the option of re-instating. Please direct any former members who wish to re-join to http://www.agohq.org/membership/join-as-a-chapter-member/

ONCARD Invoicing & Renewals

We held back on invoicing chapter members for 2014-2015 membership dues in order to complete the transition to a new credit card processing company whose fees are sig-nificantly lower than our previous processor. That transition is now complete and we will begin to send out invoices by email this week. AGO staff members have been contacting chapters that have self-identified as “Ready” for a final review. Once that final review is complete, your chapter will be put in the queue for invoicing. If you have given us a specific date, we will do our best to meet that date. We have heard from several members who have asked, “Where do I renew? I can’t find a link on the website.” At this point the renewal option is not on the ONCARD menu. Each member will be invoiced (either by email or paper). The email will contain a link to the ONCARD sign-on page and an automatic redirect to the renewal process. The renewal process consists of three screens—1. Review/Update Personal Infor-mation; 2. Review/Update Membership Type & Chapter Affiliations; and 3. Pay Dues (with an option for contributions to national and chapter funds).
