Introduction

Ambient Intelligence(AmI) is the vision of a

technology that will become invisibly embedded in

our natural surroundings, present whenever we need

it, enabled by simple and effortless interactions.

Radio Frequency Identification

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is the use of a wireless non-contact system that uses radio-frequency electronic fields to transfer data from a tag attached to an object

Microchip implant (human)

A human microchip implant is an integrated circuit device or RFID transponder encased in silicate glass and implanted in the body of a human being.

SensorA sensor is also called detector which is a convector that measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal which can be read by an observer .

Detecting and recognizing emotional information

Detecting and recognizing emotional information is a one type of sensors.

Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology entails the application of fields of science as in surface science, micro fabrication etc.

Biometrics

Biometrics refers to the identification of humans by

their characteristics.

Affective Computing

Affecting computing is the machine should interpret the emotional state of humans and adapt its behavior to them, giving an appropriate response for those emotions.

Ubiquitous Computing

Ubiquitous Computing means the integration of microprocessors into everyday objects like furniture, clothes or toys.

Using ubiquitous computing, people will not be aware of the presence of computers, they will be in the background.

Page 21: Ambient intelligence pranathi

Ubiquitous Communication Ubiquitous Communication should enable these

objects to communicate with each other and with the user.

Page 22: Ambient intelligence pranathi

Intelligent User Interface Intelligent User Interface enables the inhabitants of

the AmI to control and interact with the environment in a natural (voice, gestures) and personalized way (preferences, context).

Drawbacks

•Need high finance to install and maintaining

the environment.

•Invades privacy.

•Possibility of making people lazy.

Page 27: Ambient intelligence pranathi

Conclusion

• The Ambient Intelligence is time saving, provides security,

safety and entertainment, reduce the stress leading to an

overall higher quality of life.

• However, the ability to prepare or complete more and

more everyday tasks such as shopping or banking at home,

potentially leads to reduced interaction.
