Habitat/climate

Scarlet macaws live in the canopy of humid, low land in forests near rivers, southern Mexico, through Central America to southern Brazil.

Food

Scarlet macaws eat large fruits, seeds, and nuts. During breeding season they eat insects and larvae. They also eat clay. They are omnivore.
