AMANDELBULT PROJECTS OVERVIEWLocality of Projects
Longer term projects:
• Middellaagte has
been identified through
the ABC study to be
the next major project
as a potential Tumela
Mine replacement
project (ahead of the
Tumela 1#),
comprising of a new
decline from surface
with the preferred
mining method being
Narrow Reef
Mechanised Fleet.
Mine within a mine:
• Dishaba ore reserve
generation and
infrastructure upgrade
project.
• Two replacement projects have been identified, maximising value largely off existing infrastructure to mitigate the
overall declining production profile, reducing the AISC of the mine and delaying major capital expenditure:
15E drop down - Narrow Reef Mechanised Fleet trial mining section, producing c.55koz pa (Pt)
62E raisebore shaft – c.10 years replacement project, producing c.81koz pa (Pt)

CHROME RAIL SIDINGProject Overview
• The objectives of this project is to reduce the cost of transporting chromite from the Amandelbult chrome
pad to the Pendoring rail siding in Britz. By extending the existing railway line at Amandelbult, the need
for trucking of chromite is eliminated, resulting in a monthly cost saving.
• The project essentially consists of additional shunting rail at Tussenin siding, extending the existing rail
past the chrome pad, load out facilities at the chrome pad and extension of the gravel road near the
chrome pad.
• Project completion is expected by end 2018.
