I’m a seasoned multidisciplinary designer who can not only execute functional and beautiful designs, but also assess the impact of design decisions on a larger, more holistic scale. While clients love me for visual and web design, I have touched every part of the end to end design process. I own products from birth to launch, shepherding the design through brand strategy, personas, ux research, wireframing, prototyping, high fidelity mockups, interaction design, and iterations.

I graduated with a degree in Informatics: Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Washington. I worked as a front-end developer building e-commerce for clients like Starbucks, Adidas, and Panasonic for a few years, then transitioned into visual and UX design. I’ve worked in small startups, mid-size e-commerce agencies, freelance agencies, and large tech companies like Microsoft and Amazon.

About Me

01Every great company needs a great brand. DemandPDX was an ecommerce startup which needed to express its premium and sophisticated qualities to its current and potential clients. To represent the company, and attract new clients and talent, I redesigned a new logo for DemandPDX. To accompany the logo, I selected a color scheme representing dierent aspects of the brand, and typography that would be as bold and sophisticated as DemandPDX itself.

After a discussion with DemandPDX about their company values and the direction they wanted their design to go in, I created and reviewed a mood board with them to gauge visual preferences and bounce ideas o the client. This process of discussion and establishing a strong vision of what the client wants sets the project up for future success and client satisfaction. Based o their discussion for a mood board, I began sketching various logo designs.

After sketching, I engaged in an iterative design process for each deliverable of the branding and web design process. For the logo, I engaged in 6 rounds of iterations until finally coming to a final design. For each round of iterations, I would discuss the design with the client, assess feedback, and revise the designs.

Iterative Design

I applied the same principles of iterative design to designing the colors and typography for DemandPDX.

02DemandPDX needed a new website design to reflect its premium rebrand. As a part of the site redesign process, I created a mood board, desktop and mobile wireframes, and several dierent website concepts. After several iterations, I arrived at a clean and interactive design which played o the logo and highlighted the sophistication of the company. Interaction design and animations were also taken into consideration with the design.

After establishing a strong brand for DemandPDX, I repeated the process of walking through a mood board with the client. After establishing their vision for the website, I created a sitemap for the site and created sketches (not documented).

Exploration & Mapping

After the sitemap was created, I created and iterated on desktop and mobile wireframes for 8 dierent pages of the site to determine what content was most important to place on the site.

Wireframing

Concepting

Based on information from the branding, wireframes, and mood board feedback, I created 5 dierent concepts for the website. After the client chose a design direction to go in, I then created final designs for the site.
