AlUMNI BRllfS 50s - 1952: Robert R. Price Jr. has formed the law offices of Price & Price, L.L.C with Robert R. Price III and Judith Warfield Price, both from the class of 1979. The law office is located at 103 Lawyers Row in Centreville, Maryland. 1953: Rosemary "Dusty" Betts was named Delaware's Mother of the Year for 1994. William B. Dulany received the National Gold Heart Award from the American Heart Association . He has been an active volunteer leader for over 35 years and is a former nation- al chairman of the board. Paul A. Pump ian was elected vice president of the D.C Federation of Chapters (seven chapters, 1,700 members) of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees at its recent biennial convention. He continues to chair the fed- eration's National Legislative Committee, a position he has held since 1992, and is treasur- er of the Southwest D.C Ch apter of N.A.R.F.E. 14 60s - 1964: Richard R. Goldberg Richard R. Goldberg was named part- ner of the law firm of Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll. He has served at The Rouse Company for 23 years, where he was vice president and associate general counsel and handled sophisticated financing and real estate projects. At Ballard, he will continue his real estate practice in the firm's Philadelphia office, while work- ing closely with Ballard's Baltimore attorneys. 1967: F. Edward Johnson was named partner of the law firm of Cummings & Lockwood. Johnson is a member of the Individual Clients Department in Cummings & Lockwood's Naples, Florida office. He joined the firm in 1985 and specializes in estate and tax planning, and estate and trust administration. Johnson is board certified by the Florida Bar in Wills, Trusts and Estates. He is a member of the An1erican, Florida and Collier Counry Bar Associations and of the Estate Planning Council of Naples. T erl has dedicated his career to fighting for lesbian/gay rights and encouraging HIV/AIDS awareness. 1971: John C Nason has been elected to the position of vice president and counsel of the Central Salisbury Revitalization Association, an active urban improvement organization directing its efforts towards downtown Salisbury, Maryland. 1972: Marilyn R. Lowney was appointed to the Board of Directors of Friends Rehabilitation Program, Inc., a nonprofit housing corporation that provides housing for low- income individuals. Champe C McCulloch was named president of the Maryland Business Council. McCulloch is a Bell Atlantic executive with more than 18 years' experience as a government affairs, public relations and management pro- fessional. Samuel H. Wright was nominated to join the Council of Chief Legal Officers of the Conference Board. This council is limited to 75 general counsels from companies across the U.S. 1973: David L. Anderson has joined the D.C law firm of O'Connor & Hannan as a partner specializing in environ- mental law. H. Michael Hickson has been chosen presi- dent of the Rotary Club of Salisbury, Maryland. He will take office July 1, 1995, as the club's 77th president. He is currently a partner in the Salisbury law firm of Banks, Nason, Hickson and Sullivan. Jerald B. Lurie has been appointed to the Executive Council of the Bar Association of Baltimore Ciry, where he will serve as member-at-large. He is a partner focusing his practice in business law at the Baltimore law firm of Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf, Hendler & Sameth. 1975: Duncan W. Keir joined the U.S. bankruptcy bench in Baltimore, expanding it to four judges. Since 1991, he was senior vice president and senior counsel at Maryland National Bank and its sister company, American Securiry Bank. 1976: George Y. Sugiyama was named partner in the Washington, D.C office of Dorsey & Whitney. Sugiyama, a noted environmental lawyer and air pollution law specialist, will continue his practice in permitting, compliance enforcement and other areas of environmental law.

50s -1952: Robert R. Price Jr. has formed the law offices of Price & Price, L.L.C with Robert R. Price III and Judith Warfield Price, both from the class of 1979. The law office is located at 103 Lawyers Row in Centreville, Maryland.

80s -1980: Douglas J. Antonio and wife are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Zachary Douglas. M. E. (Peggy) Garber was promoted to general coun­sel and extern al affairs vice president for Nevada Bell , a subsidiary of Pacific Telesis G roup. Edward Hargadon is the principal counsel for the Maryland Porr Administration. Michael S. Levin was elected to the Board of Directors of Homecrest House, a nonprofit housing program for senior cit­izens in Wheaton, Maryland.

Margaret Dearden Robinson has been appointed real es tate counsel for Borders, Inc. in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Robinson is the on ly in-house counsel with Borders, and primarily oversees all real es tate legal work necessary for opening approxi mately 25 new Borders stores a year as well as operati ng the existing stores .

His practice includes general civil litigation, concentrating in the areas of surery, fideliry, construction and commercial law. Jeff Gregory was promoted to vice president and general manager of King Pharmaceuticals, a generic pharmaceutical manu­facturer in Bristol, Tennessee. He currently res ides in Wytheville, Virginia with his wife, Terri. Mark Horak was ordained as a priest in June and began a new low-cost legal ser­vices program for area immi­grants and refugees. Michael LeMire was named president of the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce. Ruth J. Vernet left the Navy as a lieutenant com­mander and is now chief assis­tant public defender for Washtenaw Counry in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she resides wi th her husband, Frank, and two sons, ages 4 and 8.

Marquez is currently serving as White House liaison to the State Department, a political appointment made by the Clinton Administration. Roberts, formerly associated with the law firm of Eccleston and Wolf, is pleased to announce the opening of the Law Office of Philip S. Roberts located in Towson, Maryland. Seth Rotenberg has become an associate in the Real Estate Department of Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander.

1989: Thomas D. Herndon is now working out of Columbia, Maryland, investigating dis­crimination complaints for the Department of Defense. He also continues to maintain a

small part-time practice out of his home office at 113 Hillside Road in Catonsville, Maryland, focusing primarily on the needs of Korean clients.

90s -1990: L.A. Brickner and her husband, Michael Filipczak, welcomed twin boys, Dane and Stone, into the world in March.

1991: Patricia L. Konecke and her husband, Ralph Curry, are celebrating the birth of their daughter, Alison B. Curry.

1992: Jonathan Ilsong Ahn has been admitted as a partner in the law firm of Stanley, Baroody & O'Toole. The firm concentrates in litigation, busi­ness, tax and estate matters and uademark, copyright and other intellectual property matters. Richard Ames-Ledbetter has become an associate with the law firm of Goodell, DeVries, Leech & Gray. H. Bruce Dorsey will be joining Piper & Marbury in November after serving a two-year clerkship with ChiefJudge Walter E. Black J r., United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

1993: Kamil Ismail has become an associate with the law firm of Goodell, DeVries, Leech & Gray. Jonathon P. Kagan, for­mer law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Heller Jr., Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, has joined Brassel & Baldwin, P.A. in Annapolis, as an associ­ate. Michael R. Stern joined the law firm of Levan, Schimel, Belman & Abramson, P.A. as an associate. He practices in the areas of land use law, zoning, real estate and administrative law.
