An ACF is the last option and would only be opened when the existing medical infrastructure is overwhelmed.

An Emergency Declaration is made by the Governor or a Spokane County elected official before opening an ACF.

Hospitals and long term care facil ities are responsible for the evacuation and shelter needs of their patients/residents.

Red Cross can provide care up to the l icensure of their staff in their general population shelters.

ACFs are not designed for pediatric patients.
