Making an altered book

First get yourself a book. It could be related to your project theme.

Drill holes through the book and thread through string and tie together. You could include beads

You could add lettering, this was made on the lazer cutter

Cut out any shapes and place images behind. Glue together when complete

Select and glue together pages and sew the edges with bright colours

You could brusho dye the pages in the background, or include objects such as jewelry

Use pen and ink

Try using water-colours

Produce observational drawings

Use collage to reflect the style of the artist Laurie Clarke

Use different materials, e.g ripped paper collage

Add stylised birds to reflect the work of Vandersteen
