ALPA 12 TC

The most compact ALPA medium formatcamera ever. It is the smallest up to 6x9 filmcamera and the smallest camera withexchangeable opticsfor today's high-enddigital backs.

The ALPA 12 SWA (ShiftWide Angle)

This model offers a decisive new featuremainly for architecture, interior and landscapephotographers: shift is integrated into thecamera. Shifting can be done in the mostwidely used direction, vertically upwards andcontinuously variable to max. 25mm. If theALPA 12 SWA is turned upside down then thesame max. 25mm areavailable downwards.The camera can beturned upside down byhand or on a tripodusing a specialadapter.

THE ALPA XY

The appearance of the latest generation ofdigital backs has shown the limits of someconventional camera designs. The ALPA 12 XY(for the shift axes X and Y) is designed to meetthe requirements of the latest backs and isfully integrated into the ALPA 12 platform. Likeall ALPA 12 models the XY can be used withdigital backs as well as with roll-film backs upto format 6x9. The XY is specially designed forwork on a tripod where it allows for max. 70mm continuously variable vertical shift and –simultaneously – for max. 50 mm continuouslyvariable horizontal shift. In additionand with digital backs there is auniquely precise stitching facility. Thetwo shifting sleds never go beyondthe closed camera body’s frame andare guided on roller bearingsthroughout. Only very limited use hasbeen made of textilematerials for the light sealingto minimize the danger ofcatching and disseminatingdust inside the camera body.The ALPA 12 XY, anuncompromising photographicinstrument for experts andconnoisseurs.

‘S’ ACCESSORY FITTINGInstead of a 4 point attachment for the Basic Lighthood (002763) and theadapter frame for the Arca Swiss bino-magnifier (001105), the new Groundglass

Back 001698-S has now been modified. A third groove in front of the groundglassscreen slot has been added thus greatly facilitating the handling and thereforeproviding more stability when using the lighthood or the adapter frame with the newcodes 002763-S and 001105-S.

As the Rapid Change Adapter Slides (002765-S and 002766-S) are supplied withintegrated groundglass back (001698-S) the above modification is also integrated inthe slides.

GROUNDGLASS ‘S’The frame of the Groundglass Back 001698-S was vertically enlarged to reach

88 mm which corresponds to the Anagramm scan size. An added advantage is thefull-size visibility of the 6 x 9 format.
