Before Makeup:Before applying makeup, apply potato and cucumber juice mix on your face. It brings fresh look. It ensures skin humidity and it will prevent from skin dryness.

Face Makeup: Foundation: If you have any dark circle in your face, apply concealer on it. Then select foundation as per skin type. In example, if you have dry skin, apply water based foundation. If you apply your makeup as per skin condition, your makeup will stay long time. You should use one step light foundation than your skin color. Then apply base by blending your skin with a wet spa. After that, finish your base makeup by applying compact powder on your face.

Blason: Apply cream on your dry skin and powder blason to oily skin. Now, use blason on your chic bone. If your skin color becomes bright, use light pink or peach color or if it is deep, use bronze or brown color blazon. Use light shine at night party for gorgeous look.

Eye Makeup:At first, use eye shadow fixer jell just 5 minutes. As it is not hot weather, you can take heavy makeup on your eyes. If you want to be eye-catching, shadow blending should be very good. Use light color beside nose, deep color in the middle or on the eye ball. Use light color shade outside corner of the eye. If your eyes are small, use light color shade on the outer side of eyes. It looks your eyes bigger. Your eye makeup will be soft and smoky. Highlight your eye brow by light smearing shadow.

Lip Makeup: Use base makeup before applying lip makeup. Then you will get longtime and real color lipstick on your lip. First, draw your upper lips centre point to lower lips point. Now use your dress matching lipstick color. After using lipstick color, keep a piece of tissue in the middle of your two lips. Then your lipstick will stay more. You may use natural tone lip gloss in your lips.

Hair Style: Hair style and design are very important. It shows your personality. A perfect hair style looks smart to you. So, fix your hair style before the program day. It is very important that hair style should be on the basis of dress, jewellery and makeup. You may keep your hair open or you may lock them by stylist design.n

Fashion Fusion had an opportunity to take an interview with Apu Biswas. Some excerpts are given here;

Fashion Fusion: You were not present in the film industry last two years. Are you doing any cinema right now?Apu Biswas: In these two years, I had to give time for my child. I was in pregnancy. I gave birth a baby boy named Abraham Khan Joy. I had to give proper time to my son. Recently, I have signed two cinemas one is ‘Kanagoli’ second one name is not fixed yet.

Fashion Fusion: Do you have any criterion by which you select a cinema as a heroin.Apu Biswas: I have no fix criterion by which I select a cinema as a heroin. When I act in a cinema, I enter into the character. I love cinema very much.

Fashion Fusion: What is your opinion regarding Bangladesh India tie up cinemas?Apu Biswas: This is not new actually. From the very beginning of our independence, we saw various cinemas with the collaboration of Bangladesh and India. We have many similarities as Bangali. We will take positive things but it has to be equal rights. Our rights should be valued equally then we will have our own existence. Fashion Fusion: Do you have any favorite character that you want to belong in your real life?Apu Biswas: I acted in about ninety cinemas. At first twenty cinemas, I did

not aware of my characters. Rest of the seventy characters, I choose and select my cinemas. I think cinema is totally different from real life. I do not want to belong any cinema characters in my real life.

Fashion Fusion: If someone wants to make a cinema by your personal life, what you will do. Apu Biswas: I do not want this type of cinema at all. I may represent wrongly.

Fashion Fusion: This is the first time you work in a Fashion Show program which is presented by Prem’s Collections. What is your feelings regarding Prem’s Collections?Apu Biswas: I am very delighted to work here. Actually, Prem’s Collections has various types of exclusive dresses. It attracts me very much. I have already selected some lehenga and saree for me. Its collection from Indian various states and also from Bangladesh gives a new dimension in fashion industry. Fashion lovers and would be brides should visit this fashion house then they may decide their wedding dresses.

Fashion Fusion: Last question, but not in the list. You have become a mother. Do you think it hampers your career and lifestyle?Apu Biswas: I don’t think so. It totally depends on mentality. I was born to be a mother because I consider motherhood my exclusive niche in life. Motherhood is blessing for every women. It is a natural process. You can’t change natural process. We should respect the natural process. I am fit. I do my regular activities as I did previously. I also take care of my son.

Fashion Fusion: Thank you for your valuable time.Apu Biswas: Thanks a lot.n

I have always been a fashion lover. Designer saree and lehenga are my favorite dresses. Prem’s Collections’ wardrobes are really awesome. Though I am not a bride, I am feeling like a newly wed bride by wearing this exclusive design lehenga.

Director of Sales & Marketing at The Westin DhakaAn interview with Md Al-Amin

Believer of the motto “Once a hotelier, always a hotelier”, Md Al-Amin started his career at Grameenphone in 2006. The

hospitality industry veteran put his first step as a hotelier two years later when he joined the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka as the Team Leader of Sales. After a successful tenure there, he moved to The Westin Dhaka in 2010 as a Business Development Manager. In 2012 he became the Head of Sales & Operations at Tai Ping, an international furnishing company. His passion for the hospitality industry brought him back to The Westin Dhaka again as the Assistant Director of Sales. Shortly after, he became the Director of Sales and now holding the position of Director of Sales and Marketing since January 2017. Aside of his career excellence, Md Al-Amin obtained an MBA from Dhaka University in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Prior to that, he completed his BBA and another MBA in Marketing from IUB and AIUB. In personal life, he is the blessed father of two children, a son of six years and a newly born daughter.As a company Westin is an upper-upscale brand of Marriott International and is focused towards the affluent business clientele. The five star luxury hotel started its journey back in 2007. It is owned by Unique Hotel & Resorts and managed by Marriott International Inc. Since its establishment it has left significant mark on the hospitality industry of Bangladesh. From accommodation to food to catering, the five star hotel has been able to establish itself as the chosen one in the minds of its clients. The luxury hotel has 235 spacious rooms containing amenities matched to that of Marriott standards. It also has five restaurants where foodies can enjoy delicacies from different cuisines from around the world masterfully prepared by its culinary maestros. The hotel also has state of the earth workout facility and swimming pool coupled with the city’s finest spa and salon. All these features have put the Marriott property into the leading position in the hospitality industry of Bangladesh.

Fashion Fusion had an exclusive interview of Md. Al-Amin; some excerpts are provided below.

FFashion Fusion: What is your opinion regarding present condition and improvement of hotel industry in

Bangladesh?Md. Al-Amin: Hospitality industry is growing rapidly in Bangladesh and I am fortunate to be an active part of it.Even though this industry started a longtime back,it saw a slow progression. Over the course of next five years, the progression will be very high in this industry. In order to cope up with the rapid change in this industry we have to follow the footprints of the countries who are successful in hospitality and tourism.Countries like United Arab Emirates, India and Thailand can be our role model for this. We will have to develop our workforce’s communication skill, create an open mindset and most importantly, we will have to change our mindset toward jobs of different levels.Fashion Fusion: What are themost challenging issues you are facing on your current job?Md. Al Amin: I love my life as a hotelier. Juggling between work and life is a big challenge here.Sometimes my work makes me stay long hours at office and I cannot give proper time to my family. Another challenge is to satisfy all the guests. Putting attention to detail and trying to make everyone contented is a big challenge in this business.Fashion Fusion: Do you have your favorite room in Westin?Md. Al Amin: All our 235 rooms are my favorite. But among all other types of rooms, our Suite rooms are on top of my choice.Fashion Fusion: What is your favorite dish and dessert?

Md. Al Amin: The Westin Dhaka specializes in numerous cuisines of different countries of the world. We also cater the customers with special delicacies as per their requirement. Personally, I love the taste of our local food that our chefs prepare here. Apart from them, I enjoy Italian food a lot.Fashion Fusion: What is the best compliment you have achieved?Md. Al Amin: The best compliment that I received is that I can be good friend withmy customers.Fashion Fusion: What are your greatest strengths and weakness?Md. Al Amin: My strength is my positivity on the other hand I am a little short tempered that is my weakness.Fashion Fusion: At work, what puts a smile on your face?Md. Al Amin: My previous performance and my team’s success put smile on my face. Fashion Fusion: What are the upcoming project of you company? Md. Al Amin: Our owning company is focusing more on establishing luxury hotels in Dhaka. We have Element by Westin in the pipeline, which is going to be opened within a few months. Hyatt Regency, Holiday Inn’s work are being taken forward in full swing. Sheraton is also going to be opened shortly. With all these new hotels we look forward to setting a new mark in the industry.Fashion Fusion: What are the other businesses of your company? Md. Al Amin: Our owning company, Unique Group, has real-estateas well as man power business. Fashion Fusion: Westin has entered into share market. What is the present condition of share business?Md. Al Amin: Unique Hotel & Resorts is doing very well in the market. The company has been able to keep its shareholders into a sense of reliability and distributing the dividends properly.Fashion Fusion: Do you have any packages for middle class people?Md. Al Amin: We have specially designed menus for our different customers. Throughout the year we offer promotional packages that are within the reach of almost everyone.
