Die Arbeit „Vorlesung/Diskussion #1“ ist eine Wandmalerei von Gerd Gerhard Loeffler, welche in Zusammenhang mit Elke Krystufeks Installation Pentecostal Mirror steht.
Sie entstand als künstlerische Intervention im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Passion For Art - 35 Jahre Sammlung Essl“.
Die Installation „Pentecostal Mirror“ - Pfingst-wunder - bezieht sich im weitesten Sinne auf Sprache.
Die Arbeit „Vorlesung/Diskussion #1“ versteht sich zum einen als Vesuch eines Zwiege-sprächs mit Krystufeks Installation. Zum anderen stellt sie kumuliertes Bildwissen dar, welches aus der Beschäftigung mit Begiffen wie Bild, Abbild und Image resultiert.
Die Beschäftigung mit Begriffen, welche im weiteren Sinne visuelle Wahrnehmung beschreiben und die „visuelle Intelligenz“ be-treffen, stellt die Grundlage der Arbeit von
Host Prof. Gerd Gerhard Loeffler dar.
Der Begriff „Professor“ bezieht sich hierbei auf das lateinische Ursprungswort „profiteri“ - öffent-lich vortragen, bekennen. Die Bezeichnung „Akademie“ einen losen Zusammenschluss von Menschen mit ähnlichen Interessen - der Aus-übung von Kunst und das diskutieren der Um-stände, unter denen sie entsteht und wahrge-nommen wird.
Der Begriff „Lehrtätigkeit“ ist in diesem Kontext daher auch als Postulat eines potentiellen Wissens- oder Erfahrungsgewinnes aus und durch Kunst zu verstehen.
Die ALL*-Akademie ist ebenso ein diskursiver Raum, wie ein Metakunstwerk.
ALL* ist ein Label, ALL* ist eine Plattform, ALL* ist ein Bild.
ALL* ist eine Akademie - die erste interstellare Kunstakademie.
Lecture/Discussion #1
The work „Lecture/Discussion#1“ is a wallpain-ting which exists in relation to Elke Krystufek‘s work „Pentecostal Mirror“.
It was realized within the exhibition „Passion For Art - 35th Anniversary of the Essl Collection“ at the facilities of the Collection at Klosterneuburg near Vienna.
The installation „Pentecostal Mirror“ deals with language in a wider sense.
On the one hand, the work „Lecture/Discussion #1“ is meant to be understood as a dialogue with Krystufek‘s installation. On the other hand it represents some sort of cumulated „pictorial knowledge“ that resulted from Loeffler‘s dealing with differnet meanings of the terms Image and Picture.
Working with issues of visual intelligence, constructions of reality and perception represents the foundations of Host Prof Gerd Gerhard Loeffler‘s Department for Contextual
Image Production (CIP) at the ALL*-Academy.
In this context the term „Professor“ is a reference to the latin origin „profiteri“ - profess, present in public.
The term „Academy“ is referring to the origin of the word in the same way - as a company of people with similar interests - artistic practise and discussing the circumstances under which art is produced and looked at.
Furthermore the term „teaching“ is also meant as a postulate of a potential gain of knowledege and experience from and through art.
The ALL*-Academy is a discoursive space as well as meta-art.
ALL* is a label. ALL* is a platform. ALL* is an image.
ALL* is an academy - the first interstellar art academy.
