compete in a triathlon in nice, an incredible journey of persistence and determination begins.the characters are inspired by a true story in this emotionally involv-ing film that will melt the hardest heart. it features moving and fully committed performances from a terrific cast, including alexandra lamy as julien’s mother, claire. with rocky-esque training mon-tages and nail-biting sequences in the stunning mountains of nice (shot at the actual 2012 ironman competition), director nils tavernier turns the conventions of the sports film on its head. you might even be inspired to run yourself after see-ing this stirring family story!

MON ONCLE (1958)drinks & canapés will be served prior to the screening.

with classic slapstick setpieces and wonderful scenes of inner and suburban paris, jacques tati’s Mon oncle is undoubtedly one of the most beloved com-edies of all time.young Gerald arpel (alain bé-court) lives a well-organised life with his equally well-organised parents in a house filled with contraptions and devices that make it, well, well-organised! enter his eccentric and old-fashioned uncle, monsieur hulot (jacques tati). with effortlessly

gangly grace, jacques tati muddles bewilderedly through the most mechanical of homes, creating havoc along the way. whether employed in mr arpel’s factory or helping mrs arpel host a garden party, monsieur hulot shows that a mod con is no match for an old pro!with the unmistakable combina-tion of fedora, trenchcoat, um-brella and pipe, Mon oncle marks the moment where the character of monsieur hulot went from cult figure to cultural icon. a massive international sensation on re-lease, the film won the academy award for best foreign film in 1958. this film is a joyous experi-ence, whether you’re meeting Mon oncle as a new acquaint-ance or an old friend. 6 wins (1 oscar) & 2 nominations

RMIT BrandmarkClear space & Minimum size

RMIT Brandmark The RMIT Brandmark is the key identifier of the university. The RMIT Brandmark is formed by two key elements:

- the RMIT Wordmark - the RMIT Symbol

The relationship between these two elements is fixed and should never be separated or used as individual elements. It is essential that the brandmark is always reproduced from the digital art files supplied.

Clear space The RMIT brandmark needs to be surrounded by an area of uninterrupted clear space to allow it to remain prominent on all communications.

Clear space is the non-print area surrounding the brandmark. A basic formula had been used to calculate the minimum ‘clear space’– this can be used to determine clear space for the brandmark at any size.

No other graphic elements (such as photography or typography) should appear within this zone. Wherever possible, apply more clear space than the minimum specified in this guide.

Minimum size To avoid any possible reproduction problems, the brandmark must never be produced at a size less than that shown opposite. Wherever possible, reproduce the brandmark at a size larger than the minimum, especially where there may be a question around the quality of the reproduction, for example silk screening or embroidery.

James M. had one week to learn and practice French before flying to Haiti for work. So he rang the Alliance française and attended classes every day as part of a

private tuition package.

as a student, my experience in private tuition was entirely posi-tive. four-hour tutorials under- taken daily for a fortnight com-pelled me to rapidly incorporate new grammar and vocabulary. reinforced by varied homework tasks, this intensive coursework enabled me to acquire and rein-force new learning very quickly.

at all times i found the adminis-trative staff and my tutor to be responsive to my learning needs. after considered discussion with administrative staff and my af tutor, the content of the tutorial was tailored to meet my work needs and i found the course con-tent to be highly relevant and well adapted to the scenarios in which i may be speaking french.the one-on-one dynamic of a private tutorial session afforded a

great deal of flexibility in adapting course content to my specific needs, focusing attention where required at a pace that could be adjusted. this dynamic also compelled me to remain attentive and continue learning as the onus to engage in the tutorial remained solely on me."
