EASTER SUNDAY PAGE 5 APRIL 1, 2018
Today, as we celebrate the feast of Easter we find the challenge of also seeing and believing the resurrection that
comes through our own lives of self-sacrifice which brings new life to others.
Your generous support of OLV’s SVdP Conference enables us to share the love of the Risen Christ, bringing our communal love to those in our Northville neighborhoods who live in fear and doubt, loneliness and despair. As we celebrate today we share with you our Easter prayer:
Lord, in your resurrection, you brought joy to the disciples, fill us with joy. Lord, in your resurrection, there is hope for a world suffering from injustice, enliven our hope. Lord, in your resurrection, you turned unbelief to belief in the hearts of your followers, increase our faith. Lord, in your resurrection, you gifted the fearful with peace, deepen our peace. Amen
If you would like to learn more about OLV’s St. Vincent de Paul Ministry, please leave your name and contact information on the OLV SVdP Hotline (248) 349-2622 or e-mail to [email protected] and one of our Vincentians will contact you. You are welcome to join us at our next meeting on Tuesday, April 10, at 7:00 p.m., in the St. John XXIII room.

MINUTE Easter
Easter is a time of great joy, when we are reminded that the Lord walks beside us on our journey of faith. We witness Christ’s living presence in many ways, such as through our support of our local communion of faith through the Catholic Services Appeal. Our annual CSA supports the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, which brings new members into full communion during the Easter Vigil. The CSA enables us to reveal Christ’s presence not only to our sisters and brothers with whom we share the Eucharist, but also to those who do not know Christ.
Gifts to the CSA show that Christ is present and active in our world. Indeed, He is risen today. Alleluia! For more information about CSA-funded programs, ministries, and services, please go to www.AOD.org.

PRIESTLY VOCATIONS Discernment Overnight
April 13-14, 2018
A Discernment Overnight offers a young high school man (Freshman-Junior in high school) a unique opportunity to experience the seminary and learn about the priesthood. There is no better way to learn about life in the seminary then from a current seminarian!
You will hear presentations, pray, eat and recreate with them. There is also time for quiet reflection. Take the “leap of faith” and consider an Overnight visit at Sacred Heart Seminary so that you can better discern your vocation.

OLVSCHOOLNEWSHello from the Fifth Grade By Mrs. Megan Lobocki, Fifth Grade Teacher
For the past month, our fifth grade students have been working hard studying famous historical figures. This week we finally got to watch history come alive at the Living Wax Museum! Students had to dress up as their person, create a
poster, and memorize a speech to inform others about the life and achievements of their person. Everyone who came was blown away by how hard these students worked. They truly embodied their historical figure and made history come alive. It was such a joy to learn more about our young students through this project and to see their talents on display at the museum. Watch out world, OLV students are going to make history!
