FIRST-TIME VISITORS If you are worshipping with us for the first time, please see a member of the Bridge Ministry in the lobby immediately following Worship for a brief introduction. We love you and welcome to Watts Chapel! WEDNESDAY PRAYER AND FASTING Each Wednesday at Watts, we encourage members to participate in a 24-hour Daniel Fast during which we abstain from meats and sweets. This Wednesday, please pray for mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. BIBLE STUDY AND AWANA Bible Study and AWANA will resume in September. However, the Biblical Literacy Project questions will be available online and in the main and administrative lobbies. TNT will continue through the summer. SPRING REVIVAL Join us in worship during Spring Revival on Wednesday, May 8, Wednes-day, May 15, and Wednesday, May 22. On May 8, our guest preacher is Rev. Dr. James Perkins of Greater Christ Baptist Church, Detroit, MI. On May 15, our guest preacher is Rev. Dr. Carolyn Ann Knight, and on May 22, Rev. Dr. Robert C. Scott of St. Paul Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC. MEN OF WATTS We encourage all men to join us for Men’s TNT on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room as we continue our study in the book Men of Faith. LANCASTER-WASHINGTON DC TRIP Join the Seniors (GEMS) on a history-filled trip to Lancaster, PA and Washington, DC, September 16 through September 20. Our trip will feature the play JESUS at the Sight and Sound Theater. We will tour the original Underground Railroad, starting at the waterfront in Philadelph-ia, which includes safe houses and churches. We will spend a full day at the African American Museum of History and tour the new 430,000 square foot MUSEUM of the BIBLE. Our trip will include a cruise and dinner at tasty restaurants. Register today after each worship service in Room 8/10, or register online. All adults are welcomed. U.S. SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIP The Annual Lott Carey Youth Seminar will be held June 22 through June 27 in Fayetteville, NC and we will stay on the campus of Fayetteville State University. This will be an opportunity for middle and high school students to serve, learn, worship, and fellowship with approximately 800 youth from around the country. Space is limited. FIELD TRIP We will celebrate another successful school year at Busch Gardens Amusement Park in Williamsburg, VA on Saturday, May 18. The $99 fee per person includes transportation, park admission, lunch, and din-ner. Register today after each worship service. SAT PREP COURSE Bring your students on May 13, May 14, and May 16 for the Spring SAT Prep Course. Dinner will be served on Monday and Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. On Thursday, test proctors will meet with students and their par-ents for seven minutes per student. Registration is $35.00. WATTS SCHOLARS Our Watts Scholars will be recognized on Sunday, May 19 during the 11:30 a.m. worship celebration. We will honor the elementary students who achieved a rating of 3 or 4 on the grade level standards and middle and high school students who made the A or A/B honor roll for the 3rd quarter of this school year. Please submit a copy of your child’s report card in the red folder in the Watts Scholars Ministry mailbox or email it to [email protected] until TOMORROW, May 6 at 5:00 p.m. Please include a parent or guardian’s name, phone number, and email address on the report card.
