Funding the Mission A new campaign starts this weekend, the beginning of the Church’s year, and will run right through the winter until Palm Sunday. As we discussed at the Parish AGM earlier in the year, despite our apparent wellbeing, we have some significant financial issues specific to buildings, which we need to address. After each weekend Mass, we will all be hearing one of our parishioners talk about the campaign, and every parishioner will receive a leaflet explaining the reasoning behind it. There will also be an information point after Mass at each church, where volunteers will enable you to find out more. Our undeniably beautiful buildings seem integral to our identity as a parish, but if we want to continue to

maintain them in the years to come, we will need to fund them accordingly. Raymond Twohig. Chair of Finance Simon Fletcher Chair of All Saints PPC Please pray for the repose of the souls of Geraldine Webber and Delphine Trow who died recently. Geraldine’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 30 November at 11 am at Our Lady & St Patrick’s Church and Delphine’s funeral will take place on Friday 2 December at 3pm at Our Lady & St Patrick’s Church. Also remember in your prayers Patrick Ford and his family. Patrick will be baptised on 4 December during the 10.30am Mass, when we will welcome Patrick into our community.

Jewellery is wanted for the CAFOD stall at the Advent Fayre which will be held on 30 November at 3.15pm at Our Lady & St Patrick’s School. Please leave your donations at the back of church or give them to Marcia, Chris or Sue. A Suggestion..... Whilst we do not have to pay car parking during the winter months, why not put your car park money into our CAFOD car park tin. We could raise a good amount if we all did this. Please support this idea. Thank you from Marcia

The OLSP School Advent Fayre is fast approaching on Wednesday 30 November, it will take place from 3.15 to 6pm in the school hall. Please come and support the school. Holy Hour Starting in Advent, Holy Hour will take place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. It will take place on the 1st Wednesday at St Agatha’s and the 3rd Wednesday at Our Lady & St Patrick’s. Both services will start at 6pm. They will appear in the newsletter as a reminder. It would be lovely to see an increased number of parishioners attending these Holy Hours. It is an opportunity for

silent prayer in the course of our very busy lives. Book of the Names of the Dead During the month of November, this book will be placed by the font. You are welcome to add names in remembrance of those who have died. Bottles of Holy Water and prayer sheets will also be available to take away for blessing the graves of your faithful departed. Eternal rest grant unto

them, O lord. And let perpetual light

shine upon them. May they rest in

peace.

May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
