“7 Secrets To Quick and Easy At-Home Opiate Withdrawal

Relief!”

Author: Reilly Johnson

Hey, I’m glad you found this e-book. Because opiate addiction and withdrawal symptoms are fast growing problems.

• In the year 2012 Vicodin (Hydrocodone) took the number 1 spot as America’s most prescribed prescription medication.

• 15.9%  (40.3  million)  have  the  disease  of  addiction  –  more  than  have  heart  conditions  (27.0  million),  diabetes  (25.8  million)  or  cancer  (19.4  million).

• Only 10.9  percent  of  those  in  need  of  addiction  help  receive  it.

• Most people experience withdrawal symptoms 10 – 25x!

The chronic fatigue, diarrhea, body aches, insomnia, depression, cloudy thinking is a major roadblock by many people trying to find freedom from opiates and drugs and if you feel withdrawal symptoms for very long you won’t recover. You’ll start doing drugs again just to feel better. At last you can prevent and cure painful withdrawal symptoms fast at-home.

“To live through an impossible situation, you don’t need the reflexes of a Grand Prix driver, the muscles of a Hercules, or the mind of an Einstein. You simply need to know what to do.”

-Anthony Greenback, “The Book of Survival”

#1: 5 Proven Over The Counter Supplements For Fast Withdrawal Relief

1. Kratom – I have found NOTHING more effective for opiate withdrawal than Kratom. It is used during withdrawal for craving control, energy, anxiety relief, bone & body aches. Pretty much everything.

2. Marijuana – Now medically legal in 19 states and recreationally legal in 2. Marijuana can also help with nearly every single withdrawal symptom including, anxiety, improved sleep, body aches, rest, relaxation, laughter, motivation, energy, appetite, and more.

3. Phenibut – A russian root first first discovered in the soviet union. As a deritive of GABA it was tested for anxiety, sleep, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Phenibut can be the one thing that lets you go into a deep relaxing sleep even when your miserable and aching all over. If you were looking for a legal alternative to a benzo like valium or Xanax this would be it.

4. Valerian Root, Passionflower, Melatonin mixture - for tension, anxiety and sleep. I suggest you mix these 3 for maximum effect. Each works in

it’s own way to relieve stress and tension.

5. Imodium – When you stop taking opioids you start running back and forth to the bathroom… a lot. Imodium works very well for relieving constant restroom breaks.

#2: 3 Prescriptions Your Doctor Can Write For Your Withdrawal Symptoms

1. Clonidine – Clonidine is a blood pressure medication. However it’s very popular for use for opiate withdrawal symptoms. It’s non-addicting and can be used for sleep, body aches or just about anything. It seems to relax your body.

2. Benzo’s – (Xanax, Valium, Klonipin -Any Benzo will work) – Benzo’s can help with anxiety, sleep, stress, muscle aches and the general un-comfortableness of withdrawal.

3. Suboxone (naxalone) – The ultimate come off drugs quick and feel no pain medication. Suboxone is the hands down king for coming off opiates and not hurting by taking Suboxone. But the problem is, it’s yet another powerful opioid that you’ll have to eventually come off. Which is supposed hell. It’s also used as a crutch, as a backup plan so they don’t go through withdrawal when they run out of their supply.

Remember this point, it is POINTLESS to trade one drug for another. Only use withdrawal supplements as tools to get you through the first challenging stage. (like the first 7 – 10 days).

#3: Slow Taper For Near- Pain FREE Withdrawal If you taper your opiate dose slow enough you can erase almost EVERY single

Page 7: All Rights Reserved by Reilly Johnson and Opiate-Freedom ...€¦ · 07/02/2013  · Kratom – I have found NOTHING more effective for opiate withdrawal than Kratom. It is used during

withdrawal symptom. THE trick to tapering is to do it just slow enough to not hurt, but fast enough you’re off drugs soon. A very conservative decrease by 10% of the original dose per week is usually well tolerated with minimal adverse physiological effects. However, I recommend you Taper fast, aim for 1- 4 weeks. Tapering Tips:

1) Plan your taper ahead. How many pills will you need, how many days will you taper?

2) The longer you drag out your taper the greater your risk of continued use. 3) Ask yourself, do you have the self-control to taper?” Most people

don’t have the discipline to taper for very long. For many the temptation to keep using is to great.

4) If you don’t have the discipline- have someone you trust give meds.

Case Study #1: If She Can Do It, You Can Do It Too

I knew a girl in her early 20’s, she weighed about 150 lbs. and was prescribed 120 mg of liquid Methadone everyday. So you know, 120 mg is a huge dose and would put most people in a coma. (what’s even state run clinic provided her the Methadone so that she could come off hydrocodone. Yea I know, what a joke). Anyways, she got pregnant and decided to quit for her baby. Coming off such a big dose of Methadone wasn’t going to be easy. But over the next 2 months she was able to taper completely off the methadone. And she did it without suffering ANY physical withdrawal symptoms. How’d she do it? She made up a plan, calculated her dosages needed, threw away the extra supply and COMMITED to quitting no matter what. If a pregnant woman using 120 mg of liquid methadone per day can withdrawal with ZERO symptoms, then you can too.

#4: Take Time Off Work For Your Planned Withdrawal Trying to put on a straight face at work can be damn near impossible during withdrawal. That’s why it’s a good idea to take a few days off when it’s time to quit. The BEST way to do this is to take a Thursday and Friday off, plus get Saturday and Sunday to recover as well. This gives you a 4-day head start through the hardest part of withdrawal. Tip: Use this time for self-evaluation. Are you happy with your life? With your work? Have you accomplished what you thought you would? Are you happy with where you are at? What changes can you make to improve your circumstances now and in future? During your withdrawal you should surround yourself with positive uplifting things. But some motivational CD’s like Tony Robbins or Brian Tracy. Watch upbeat movies that make you laugh. Make sure you have plenty of healthy nutritious food. Avoid processed foods and caffeine.

#5: Feel Better Fast By Weight Training & Exercise If I could recommend only one thing to you it would be EXERCISE everyday. Exercise really is the best thing you can do for yourself. NOTHING WILL BUILD A MAN OR WOMANS SELF-CONFIDENCE QUICKER THAN WEIGHT TRAINING. Something special happens when you exercise consistently. Your body starts to make subtle changes. The more you lift, the more changes you see. When you exercise you will literally watch yourself become a stronger, more confident person. Exercising just 50 minutes a day can add physical strength, improve your looks, create new drive and determination, create positive habits, and relieve stress to start with.

REILLY JOHNSON: “How exercise made all the difference in the world Sophomore Year of College” “Heading into my freshman year in college I weighed at 153 lbs. and was skinny as a stick. Things were different for me. That first year of college was unforgettable but I definitely felt new and out of my comfort zone. Gone were the days of being passive, weighting around and hoping something would happen. By the time summer break rolled around my self-confidence was at an all-time low. Fortunately for me, a good friend of mine introduced me to weight training that summer. And for the first time in my life I got serious about my fitness. I trained everyday and I loved it. My body was made to bench press, deadlights & squats. I loved lifting heavier and heavier weights each week. I loved watching my muscles get bigger, harden and bulged. Pumping iron became my new addiction. Weight lifting became my most loyal friend. Heading back for my sophomore year I was a solid 16 lbs of muscle heavier and a different person. When I walked into parties now I got approving nods, second looks from pretty girls. My attitude changed from acting and… to feeling strong, confident, and in control.” – Reilly Johnson

#6: Acupuncture Treatment Works Wonders to Relieve Withdrawal Pain

China has a long history of opiate use beginning in the early 18th century during the British invasion. In 1949, there were thought to be 20 million opiate addicts in China. There, acupuncture is known as a very effective treatment for acute opioid withdrawal symptoms.

Exercise Tips for Detox:

• Start to exercise NOW, as in TODAY! Even if that only means taking a short walk around the block. The important thing is you get outside and move! It might be hard to start but stick with it for at least 2 weeks and I know you’ll begin to really enjoy it.

• Make exercise a part of your daily program. Do everything you can to not miss even one day, especially in the beginning. Do something every day and in 2 weeks I guarantee you’ll

• Do NOT just walk on the treadmill or do the elliptical for an hour. Start lifting weights whether you’re a girl or a guy! Start with small weights and just focus on your form. You don’t have to go crazy but if you incorporate weight lifting into your daily routine you will transform your body wayyyyy faster than cardio alone will.

• Exercise is the ultimate weapon against addiction. So many former drug users put their new-found energy and focus into athletic endeavors like running, cycling, weight lifting, swimming, golfing, triathlons, soccer, softball and hoops.

• When you exercise vigourously or lift weights hard, your body releases the stress hormone, endorphins (our bodies own opioids). This gives us a “natural high.”

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese therapy used to relieve pain and treat stress-related health conditions. According to it’s own theory energy, known as chi, flows through the body along pathways called meridians, and any blockage of this energy causes illness. These illnesses can show up as any number of physical or emotional symptoms or maladies.

Acupuncture withdrawal treatment unblocks energy and balances the flow of chi to restored health. During acupuncture, very thin needles are inserted into the skin at specific points or meridians on the body increases circulation and stimulates the release of endorphins (which are the body’s own opiates.)

How it works:

• Acts directly on the central nervous system and stimulates the immune system.

• Systematic studies have shown that acupuncture decreases stress-related muscular pain.

• Functional MRI studies have found that acupuncture modulates brain regions regulating pain and emotion.

• Studies clearly prove acupuncture treatment boosts levels of endorphins and other brain chemicals.

To learn more about acupuncture for opiate detox, you can find a great case study here. If you’re in pain, why not give a local Acupuncturist a call.

#7: Repair & Rebuild Depleted Brain Chemicals - Serotonin & Dopamine Opioid abuse lowers your brains natural chemical levels leaving you feeling beat up, down and depressed. Your body needs to rebuild neurotransmitter systems to reset the natural opiate production (endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, GABA). You can do this through “Amino Acid Therapy.” This will ease some withdrawal symptoms but more importantly it should REDUCE the # of days you go through this hell.

Page 12: All Rights Reserved by Reilly Johnson and Opiate-Freedom ...€¦ · 07/02/2013  · Kratom – I have found NOTHING more effective for opiate withdrawal than Kratom. It is used during

3 great supplements that restore serotonin, endorphins and dopamine: 1. 5-HTP (hydroxyryptopan) – 5-HTP is the precursor to serotonin and helps your brain manufacture more serotonin. It is also the precursor for melatonin. The hormone involved in sleep patterns of the human body. It can improve mood, help you sleep and instill feelings of relaxation and calmness.

2. L-Tyrosine – L-Tyrosine is an important amino acid, it’s precursor of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine and dopamine, which regulate mood. A deficiency of norepinephrine in the brain can result in depression, sadness, lack of focus, low motivation. The body uses tyrosine to make chemical messengers that are involved in the brain such as mental alertness and energy. Supplement with Tyrosine to replenish your depleted dopamine stores.

Instructions: L-tyrosine should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach or at bedtime so that it does not have to compete for absorption with other amino acids. 3. St. John’s Wort – St. John’s Wort is known as nature’s natural anti-depressant. It improves outlook, mood, and motivation. This one might take a short time before you feel its effects, make sure you give it at least 2 week trial for it to kick in.

WARNING: Avoid St. John’s Wort, 5-HTP & L-Tyrosine if you're on an SSRI (serotonin reuptake inhibitor) such as Prozac, Effexor, Paxil, all those kinds of psychiatric mood elevators, etc. Persons taking monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors often prescribed for depression should not take any supplements containing L-tyrosine. Persons with multiple sclerosis should not use supplemental tyrosine. BONUS:

#8: Create and Follow Your Game Plan And You GUARANTEE Your Success Your Success Boils Down to Two Fundamental Things

Page 13: All Rights Reserved by Reilly Johnson and Opiate-Freedom ...€¦ · 07/02/2013  · Kratom – I have found NOTHING more effective for opiate withdrawal than Kratom. It is used during

1. How Well You Can Plan 2. How Well You Can Execute Your Plan

If you can do those two things, you can guarantee your success. I grew up watching Michael Jordan dominate professional basketball like no one ever had. I remember hearing an announcer ask Jordan if he got nervous before big games or before taking the final shot that could win or lose the game? MJ’s reply was classic:

“Work ethic eliminates fear” Jordan said he never got nervous before games because he was completely prepared. He said those moments where instinct because he had practiced them a thousand times before. He was so good because he worked harder and longer than anyone else during practice, before the game. When you prepare properly your chance of success skyrockets.

“Be like Mike” Prepare, plan and execute your escape from addiction! If your goal is fast, easy withdrawal, “Game-Plan” and detail exactly how you will make that happen. Then commit to putting in the work and study you need to succeed. A few examples of what your “game-plan” should consist of is:

• Why? Why do you want to quit? Do your reasons why motivate you enough to see it all the way through?

• What specifically will you do differently this time to STAY sober? • How many days do you plan on your withdrawal symptoms lasting? • Do you plan to taper your opioid dose to help reduce withdrawal

symptoms? • What natural and/or doctor prescribed supplements will you supplement

with to ease painful withdrawal symptoms? • Will you take time off work to withdrawal? • Do you have a good support team that can help during detox? Do you

have medical help? • Do you have the proper vitamins and minerals to heal the quickest

way possible?
