So begin the liner notes for Snarky Puppy’s fourth CD/DVD release on Ropeadope. Aptly titled We Like It Here, the record was recorded in the band’s signature live-with-�lm style at Kytopia Studios in Utrecht, Holland.Having been welcomed repeatedly by European audiences, the Pups chose to record the next record there as a celebration of the community they have shared in Europe. The recording took place just as their previous project, Snarky Puppy’s Family Dinner Vol 1, hit the streets worldwide. That record would go on to garner millions of views on Youtube, # 1 chart posi-tions worldwide, and a Grammy win for the band and guest vocalist Lalah Hathaway. We Like It Here captures that moment in time when the band unveiled their most adventurous project to their loyal fans, before the curtain lifted and the rest of the world became hip to Snarky Puppy.
