All Precision Screen & Security Products are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one full year. Screen fabric is not warranted. All steel products are susceptible to rust. Rust preventive maintenance is necessary to preserve the finish of these products.

This warranty does not apply to installations of products within five (5) miles of the ocean, around the perimeters of swimming pools where moisture, salt and chemicals can readily damage the finish or where proper maintenance has not been provided.

This warranty is void if the product has been subject to improper installation or mechanical damage indicative of obvious mistreatment or abuse.

Under no circumstances will Precision be held responsible for labor charges occurring from job site repair or replacements.

SWINGING SCREEN DOORS

Screen Doors can serve a wide variety of purposes. They can allow fresh air to circulate while keeping insects out, provide increased light levels, even give a certain amount of security…all while maintaining a decorative effect for the home.

But not all Screen Doors perform the same.

What is currently stocked by Lowe's is a Steel Roll-Formed product made with a continuous piece of metal, bent and shaped to form the rectangular form of a door. Then a kick-plate, screen mesh and possibly a grille are attached. This is a basic product that functions as a Screen Door. It is stocked in standard sizes and a couple of colors. And it's inexpensive. Great if you just need something to cover an opening, but not anything that gives the buyer a Quality product.

For your customer that wants something nicer, a different color or a Special Size give them a door built with Quality, Value and Strength. Have them order a Precision Custom Made Screen Door. For a few dollars more than the door in the store, your customer will have a Screen Door that will last for years.

The Precision Screen Door is made from HEAVY Extruded Aluminum. Each door is custom built for your customer and finished with durable, scratch resistant paint. The kick-plates, push-bars and grilles are also heavier gauge extruded aluminum. Push bars and decorative designs are riveted in place and provide additional strength.

You also have the opportunity to upgrade your customer by offering the Tuff Screen Option. This is a vinyl coated screen material that resists dogs jumping and cats climbing. Anyone that has a pet will appreciate the product and be glad that they opted to have it installed in their new door (A sample of the fabric is in the back of your Precision Special Order Catalog).

Another option you have is to offer a Pet Door be installed in the screen door. This allows the animal access without having to open the door every time the pet wants in or out (Pet Door details are in the Precision Special Order Catalog).

SLIDING SCREEN DOORS

When the time comes for a customer to replace their sliding patio screen door you may be asked to recommend a satisfactory replacement. Here is when you can provide a product to your customer that they may not know is available. First, lets go over some basics.

There are two basic types of screen doors. The Adjustable “Out-of-the-rack" and Custom Made. The primary differences in these two doors is the Metal that they are made from and how they are constructed.

The Sliding Screen Door currently stocked by Lowe's is a Steel product made from a continuous length of material, bent into a rectangular shape to the finished size. Then an adjustment channel is added to the top and bottom to allow fitting a variety of door heights. A simple plastic latch and plastic rollers are used. This is a less costly form of screen door that most OEM manufacturers use…because it is cheap!!! Roll formed steel doors are inexpensive, but they are also very flimsy. The thin steel frame won't stand up to someone accidently walking into them, kids or dogs. The painted surface is easily scratched and the doors can rust. The adjustment channels are almost impossible to keep properly adjusted. The door is virtually impossible to repair due to the way they are constructed. Most customers just buy the same thing that was on their patio door before, not realizing that they have an option.

If your customer is lucky, they may be able to possibly get one season's use with this product before it becomes useless. Either bending at the latch or no longer rolling properly. The screen fabric can become loose and sagging or possibly pulling out of the frame. By the end of summer the door is ready for the trash can. This door is adequate for putting on a house that your customer plans to sell.

What Lowe's and you, the Sales Specialist, have and should be offering to your customer is a Precision Custom Made Extruded Aluminum Door that will provide many years of reliable service. This door is built to the exact size your customer needs by taking four pieces of Extruded Aluminum, cutting these to size and assembling with heavy spur corners, Ball Bearing rollers, and a strong metal latch. The paint on these doors is also much more durable and scratch resistant. There are 3 frame styles your customer can choose from.

Precision also offers a Custom Made Vinyl Sliding Screen Door for applications where corrosion could be a problem. It works especially well along coastal areas.

You also have the opportunity to upgrade your customer by offering the Tuff Screen Option. This is a Vinyl coated material that resists dogs jumping and cats climbing. When it comes to Home Security the first place your customer thinks of is their Front Door. There are a wide variety of Steel Security Doors available to your customer that wants something Traditional and reasonably priced. Typically these doors have a steel perimeter frame bolted flush to the outside trim of the Entry Door. The door could be very simple: ie: just black with bars and a lock or can be very decorative with Custom Designs and painted to match the rest of the exterior décor of the home. Most all will have a perforated steel mesh welded to the inside of the door that serves as a screen allowing ventilation and also provid-ing additional security.

Lowe's currently stocks a version of this product line that accommodates your customer's “Basic" need.

But for your customer that has a special application as to size, wants something that is nicer in appearance, would like a different color or would like to Customize their door you can offer them the option of a Special Order…Custom Built…Steel Security Door from Precision.

Even if your customer wants a Standard Sized Door, the products from Precision will give your customer better quality and longer life. The door will have the welds all ground smooth and have a painted finish that is much more durable and scratch resistant.

Starting with our Vallarta and throughout the entire line, the quality is exceptional. Each Precision Door is Custom Built for your customer. All Precision Doors are Pre-Hung for quick, easy installation.

Your customer can order from several Standard Colors at no additional charge with Custom Colors available at nominal cost.

They can order the perforated mesh in the door to be a contrasting/complimentary color for a nominal charge.

Precision can build “Double-Doors" that are also Pre-hung and ready to install without needing to assemble a lot of parts and pieces then hope it all fits.

STEEL SECURITY DOORS & WINDOW GUARDS

Steel Sliding Patio Security Doors: Steel Sliding Patio Security Doors are one of the hottest commodities now. Just as window guards decorate and protect windows, these doors give decorative full protection over the sliding glass patio doors at the back or side of most homes. The application of these Patio Security Doors does not affect the operation of either the actual sliding glass door or the sliding screen door that is currently in place.

Typically sold as a single unit, the one-piece welded perimeter frame makes these relatively easy to install. (Primarily due to the weight and size of these units, Precision recommends have Lowe's pre-measure and install).

The frame comes with mounting tabs and can be adapted to most any situation.

Note that these doors DO NOT have the perforated steel mesh. Mesh can be provided at additional cost but is not rec-ommended or necessary. The design of the welded steel provides the necessary security. The mesh will block the view and most of the light that usually is the reason the Sliding Glass Door was installed.

The Cavalier Door shown on the Price Page is the “standard" design and the most popular but Precision can build your customer a Patio Security Door (at additional cost) using any of the designs shown for our Swinging Security Doors.

These doors come with a pre-installed keyed latch.

Any of our standard Powdercoat Paint colors are also available at no additional charge.

Steel Swinging Patio Security Doors: Some homes may have French Doors or Atrium Doors on the rear or side of the home. Or your customer may prefer to have the Security Door swing rather than slide. Precision can also provide protection for those applications as well. As above, these are built WITHOUT MESH for the same reasons. This type of patio security will also allow for the installa-tion of a knob and dead-bolt for your customers that want this additional security.

As above, Precision recommends that your installer takes or confirms the measurements before ordering. The prices shown are for the most common design but any of our designs can be ordered at additional cost.

Any of our standard colors are also available at no additional charge.

Steel Enclosures: Your customer's home may have a recessed entry area and prefer to have the Security Door installed in this area rather than mounted to the Door Frame. Precision can build Enclosures for just about any application that your customer may have or request.

Each enclosure will require specific accurate measurements in order to ensure proper fit. Precision recommends that Lowe's installer does these measurements rather than relying on only the customer's information.

Steel Window Guards: Precision manufactures these in many “standard" sizes. We can also provide custom sizes and design units for unique applications. As with all Precision Products, the guards are powder coat painted to ensure a long lasting finish. They can be provided with quick-release exit hardware as required by local codes.

STEEL SLIDING PATIO SECURITY DOORS

Sentinel Steel Sliding Security Door

Sliding patio security doors are a hot commodity now. These give decorative full protection over the glass doors in your sliding patio doors. You continue to use your existing screen door (or you can also order a new Precision replacement slid-ing screen door!)

Sold as a single unit, the 1-piece welded perimeter frame makes it relatively easy to install (Precision recommends having a qualified installer do the work) as the frame comes with mounting tabs and the sliding and stationary door panels are pre-installed.

The perimeter frames feature heavy gauge 1" welded steel tubing, a 1" x 3" door jamb latching frame and a guide track across the bottom to keep things sliding correctly. The sliding door panel features 2 smooth rolling top-hung anti-lift rollers.

HINGED STEEL PATIO DOORS

Knightguard Use a Precision Swinging steel patio door to cover either your sliding glass doors or a pair of french doors with a protective steel door. Available in all colors and styles just as our regular steel security doors. These doors have tamper-proof hinges and allow the use of a dead bolt. 16 ga. Expanded Steel Mesh standard on "Active" door.

Limited Warranty for Precision Screen and Security DoorsPrecision Screen and Security Doors warrants that under normal use this product will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for One Year from the date of invoice when the door has been installed according to Precision's specifications.

Upon receipt of goods immediately inspect for any defects.

The Powder Coated (paint) finish is also warranted for One Year against flaking, checking, cracking, blistering and/or peeling.

The Powder Coat Limited Warranty will be void if the product rusts due to reasons other than nonconformities in material and workmanship. This includes rust from misuse, abrasions, environmental conditions, corrosives, salts, chemicals, excessive moisture and/or any other damage due to conditions that would have been prevented with routine, timely and proper maintenance by the warranty holder. There is NO Powder Coat Warranty against rust and/or corrosion on any Precision Door installed within 5 miles of salt water.

This Powder Coat (paint) warranty does not apply to finishes neglected by the customer. The doors must be cleaned and waxed twice a year. Steel doors should be repainted annually.

Doors subjected to direct weather conditions (sun and/or moisture) might require additional maintenance.

Proper care will help prevent the possibility of the paint fading, chalking and/or rusting.

Any scratches or chips that occur during or after installation must be touched up immediately to prevent any rust or paint separation from occurring.

If a defect occurs Precision will issue credit or replacement (at our option) during the warranty period when the product is returned freight prepaid to the point of purchase. In the event that defects are found any replacement doors would be shipped FOB/ Precision Factory.

This warranty expressly excludes the screen mesh and mesh components, which include rips, tears, separation, fraying, snags in or on screen material, or the detaching of the screen material from the spline channel.

Precision shall not be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the installation of our products. Including, but not limited to, any damage to the building, other property or personal injuries or damages sustained or indirect costs such as painting, installation and shipping.

Under no circumstances will Precision Screen and Security Doors be held responsible for Labor and/or Installation charges incurred from job site repairs or replacements.

Precision Screen and Security Doors makes no other warranties, representations or covenants, expressed or implied, with respect to our products.
