Bold new look. Designed to break loose from the pack, the asymmetrical 3-door design of the Veloster differentiates it from any vehicle on the road. The one-of-a-kind style features a wide cascading grille, standard 18" alloy wheels and a centre exhaust. Available LED headlights emit a strong, focused beam of white light that greatly increases nighttime visibility. LED accents run along the outer edges to accentuate the sculpted bodylines.

High performance standards. Whether you choose the 2.0L or the 1.6L Turbocharged engine, you’re going to feel what sets the Veloster apart. A sophisticated, standard multi-link rear suspension system elevates on-road driving dynamics and feel. Turbo models are also outfitted with a sport-tuned suspension for outstanding ride and handling through the curves.

Torque Vectoring Control

Delivering a deeper driver-to-machine connection, Torque Vectoring Control (TVC) comes alive when the road turns twisty and you want improved performance in the corner. With sophisticated wheel-speed sensors at work, TVC applies precision-level braking to the inside front wheel as the Veloster navigates a turn. By minutely slowing that inside wheel, engine power is better used by the front wheel on the outside of the turn to improve grip and stability through each and every curve of the road. It makes the Veloster feel planted and agile.

The Turbo Tech model features Active Sound Design, which enhances intake and exhaust powertrain sound character inside the cabin for a more exhilarating driving experience, especially during spirited driving.

Advanced safety. The 2019 Veloster features an ultra-rigid vehicle chassis at its core, which we call the SUPERSTRUCTURE™. Built with our very own Advanced High Strength Steel, which is designed to be stronger, stiffer and lighter than conventional steel, the SUPERSTRUCTURE™ provides greater benefits in safety, ride comfort, handling and fuel economy. In the event of a collision, the SUPERSTRUCTURE™ helps protect occupants inside the cabin by absorbing harmful energy and redirecting it away from the passenger compartment.

Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist1

The standard Blind Spot Detection system uses radar to detect when a vehicle is in the driver’s blind spot and provides both an audible and visual alert to keep you safe as you move down the road. This feature works in conjunction with the Lane Change Assist system, which measures the closing speed of traffic approaching in adjacent lanes to help determine if a lane change is safe.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert2

Activated during reverse driving, the standard Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system uses radar to help identify and warn the driver of vehicles approaching from the side, even before they come into view of the standard rearview camera.
