TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. All the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Delhi/New Delhi.

2. Upper Age Limit: 50 (Fifty) years. However, relaxable for Government Servants, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or

otherwise exceptionally qualified applicants up-to 5 years and 3 years in the case of Other Backward Classes candidates. Upper age

limit will be taken as on closing date of submission of application.

3. Application fee: Rs. 500/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates) through SBI Bank Challan/ Debit Card/Credit Card. The application

fee once remitted shall not be refunded.

4. Last date for on line submission of application: 05.11.2012 by 5.00 P.M.

5. The effective date up-to which the requisite experience must be completed will be 30.06.2013.

6. The candidate can submit applications online through internet only. Applications submitted/sent through postal services or

otherwise shall not be entertained / accepted. The candidates must read the instructions, help manual and other details carefully

before applying and follow the instructions given.

OTHER INFORMATION FOR THE CANDIDATES

(i) The All India Institute of Medical Sciences is an autonomous body established under Act of Parliament.

(ii) Service under the Institute is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under.

(iii) The applicants, who do not have requisite qualifications up to the last date for submission of applications, will not be considered.

(iv) The discipline/subject for which the application is being submitted needs to be indicated clearly.

(v) The candidates can pay the prescribed application fee through a Challan form (to be downloaded from internet while applying

online) in any branch of State Bank of India or through Debit Card/Credit Card. Transaction/Processing fee, if any, as applicable,

shall be payable to the Bank by the Candidate.

(vi) Separate application should be submitted for separate post along-with the prescribed fee for each post. A consolidated application

for more than one post will not be considered.

(vii) Incomplete application(s) will not be considered.

(viii) The applicants are required to submit self-attested certificates/testimonials, other relevant documents etc. along-with recent

passport size photograph and self-attested copies of fee paid through SBI Bank Challan or fee receipt for payment made through

Debit Card/Credit Card in a sealed envelop “superscribing the name of the post applied for “within 7 (seven) days from the date of

(ix) The applicants already in Government service shall have to produce NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from their present

employer through a letter generated, after successful submission of online application form.

(x) The employees of the Institute will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of

Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.

(xi) The period of probation is two years.

(xii) The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.

(xiii) The Institute (AIIMS) will not defray the travelling and other expenses to the candidates summoned for interview. The Institute

will, however, contribute towards theses expenses in respect of candidates who pay the prescribed application fee and are

summoned to appear for a personal interview before the Standing Selection Committee of the Institute at a rate corresponding to

the amount of single 2nd

class Passenger Railway fare or the actual expenditure incurred towards fare, whichever is less, by the

shortest route to the place of interview from the Railway Station nearest to the candidates normal place of residence or from which

he/she actually performs the journey which is nearer to the place of interview and back to the same station provided the distance

travelled each way exceeds 80 Kilometers. Candidates called for interview and coming from outside India will be paid equivalent

to Sleeper class Rail fare in respect of journey performed within the territory of Republic of India only.

(xiv) The persons belonging to SC/ST/OBC community must submit the certificate in the requisite proforma duly issued by the

authority concerned.

(xv) While every effort will be made to provide residential accommodation to the faculty staff appointed at the Institute subject to

availability but in view of the paucity of the residential accommodation in the campus it may not be possible to provide

accommodation in every case. In the event that no accommodation is provided, necessary H.R.A. as admissible to Central

Government Servants of similar status stationed at Delhi/New Delhi will be provided.

(xvi) AIIMS reserves the rights to increase or decrease the number of vacancies.

(xvii) Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.

(xviii) The appointment against the aforesaid posts will be “tentative in nature” and subject to final outcome of the SLP No. 2106/2002

pending before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on reservation of posts for SC/ST/OBC.

years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

And/or

M.D. in Anaesthesiology or a recognized qualification

equivalent thereto with 3 years training in the discipline

of Neuro-Anaesthesia from a recognized Institution.

(iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a

recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after

obtaining the Degree of D.M. in Neuro-Anaesthesia (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a

qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However,

no experience is necessary for the candidates

possessing 3 years recognized Degree of D.M. in

Neuro-Anaesthesia or qualifications recognized equivalent thereto.

03 Assistant Professor of Community

Medicine

02 01 -- -- i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical

Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the

qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section

13(3) of the Act).

(ii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD in Community Medicine/ Preventive & Social Medicine or a

recognized qualification equivalent thereto. Candidates

possessing M.D. in other clinical subjects are also

eligible provided that they have acquired the above

essential qualification of a Degree in Community Medicine/ Preventive & Social Medicine at a later

stage.

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a

recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Community

Medicine/Preventive & Social Medicine or a

qualification recognized equivalent thereto. For

candidates who have done M.D. in Preventive & Social

Medicine or Community Medicine in addition to MD in other Clinical subjects, half (½) of the total experience

required for the post should be in the subject of

Community Medicine after the candidate has acquired

MD in Preventive & Social Medicine/Community Medicine.

04 Assistant Professor of Dermatology &

Venereology

02 -- -- 01 i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the

qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled

should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section

05 Assistant Professor of

Otorhinolarngology (ENT)

02 01 -- 01 i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the

qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled

should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section

13(3) of the Act).

ii) A postgraduate qualification e.g. MS in E.N.T. or a

recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a

recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after

obtaining the qualifying degree of M.S. in E.N.T. or a

qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

06 Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology -- -- -- 01 i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical

Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the

qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled

should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act).

ii) D.M. in Gastroenterology (2 years or 3 years or 5 years

recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

And/or

M.D. in Medicine or a recognized qualification

discipline of Gastroenterology from a recognized Institution.

08 Assistant Professor of Intensive Care for C.T.V.S.

01 -- -- 01 i) M.B.B.S.

ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. MD/MS in

Medical/Surgical Disciplines viz. Paediatrics/Medicine/Anaesthesia/Surgery or a

qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the postgraduate degree in Medical/

Surgical Discipline viz. Paediatrics/ Medicine/

Anaesthesia/Surgery or qualification recognized

equivalent thereto. Two years experience, out of the

above three years, should be in a recognized Intensive Care Unit providing Intensive Care Service including

post Cardiac Surgical patient care.

09 Assistant Professor of Medicine 02 01 01 02 i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the

qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled

should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section

13(3) of the Act).

ii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.D. in Medicine or a

recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a

recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Medicine or a

10. Assistant Professor of Pulmonary

Medicine & Sleep Disorders

01 01 -- -- (i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical

Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the

qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled

should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act).

(ii) D.M. in Pulmonary Medicine (2 years or 3 years or 5

years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification

recognized equivalent thereto

And/or

M.D. in Medicine or a recognized qualification

equivalent thereto with 3 years training in the discipline

of Pulmonary Medicine from a recognized institution.

(iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a

recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of D.M. in Pulmonary Medicine

(2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a

qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However,

no experience is necessary for candidates possessing

three years recognized degree of D.M. in Pulmonary Medicine or qualifications recognized equivalent

thereto.

11 Assistant Professor of Geriatric Medicine 01 -- -- 01 i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical

Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled

should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section

13(3) of the Act).

ii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.D. in Geriatric

Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. In the event of non-availability of candidates

having MD in Geriatric Medicine, then the candidates

possessing MD in Medicine shall be considered.

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after

obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Geriatric

Medicine/ Medicine or a qualification recognized

equivalent thereto.

12 Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology 01 -- -- 01 i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical

Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled

should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section

13(3) of the Act).

ii) D.M. in Medical Oncology (2 years or 3 years or 5 years

recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification

recognized equivalent thereto.

And/or M.D. in Medicine or a recognized qualification

equivalent thereto with three years training in the

discipline of Medical Oncology from a recognized

Institution.

(iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after

Medicine or a qualification recognized equivalent

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a

recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after

obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Nuclear

Medicine or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

14 Assistant Professor of Neuro-Surgery 04 01 01 01 i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the

qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled

should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section

13(3) of the Act).

ii) M.Ch. in Neurosurgery (2 years or 3 years or 5 years

recognized course) or recognized qualification

equivalent thereto.

And/or

MS in Surgery or a recognized qualification equivalent

thereto with 3 years training in the discipline of

Neurosurgery from a recognized Institution.

iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a

recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch. in Neurosurgery (2 years

or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a

qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However,

no experience is necessary for the candidates

possessing three years recognized Degree of M.Ch in Neurosurgery.

15 Assistant Professor of Obstetrics &

Gynaecology

16 Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics 02 01 01 -- i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or

part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical

Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the

qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section

13(3) of the Act).

All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an

Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-

graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical

Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the

training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in

Post-graduate Medical Education.

The online mode of application for various entrance examinations is in use in AIIMS and in

continuation of the same, the online mode of application is extended for application for

recruitment.

2.0 How to Start?

To access the online form of recruitment visit our website www.aiimsexams.org.

Select Recruitment from drop down list for Register/Login on our website www.aiimsexams.org or

click directly on link provided under Download section for the same.

Login Page is shown below, if you are a new applicant, click on the Proceed button on New

Registration Section. If you have already applied then enter your Application No and Password,

which is already sent through SMS and Email at the time of registration and click Login button.

Applicant must ensure that their mobile no. is not registered with DND (Do Not Disturb) service.

Applicant must check his/her E- mail (Inbox, Junk mail & Spam) after registration.

3.0 Start : New Registration / Applicant Login

The very first page is Entry point from where new candidate can apply or candidates who have

already register can access there registration details for editing and uploading new content before

closing of date. New Candidate has to click on “Proceed” and candidate who have already registered

required to provide login detail as on screen and click on “Login”.

On New registration after clicking on “Proceed” a guideline/Instruction will be displayed and

candidates are advised to read the same. You should also be ready with Soft copy of your

Photographs and Signature as per instruction in Point No. 5 of this Help Manual.

4.0 Application Form

Online application form is available in two languages viz. English and Hindi. Candidate can select

preferred language of there choice. However all information shall be filled in English language only.

Do Not use any Special characters (`~!@#$%^&*()-_+={}[]|’”/<> etc.) to fill information in online

application form unless otherwise provided in application form.

After confirmation on guidelines/ Instruction page actual application form will be displayed for filling

and submission as below.

4.1 Registration (Basic Information)

Keeping in view the easiness and simplicity candidates are allowed to complete the application form

in different stages.

At the first instance they have to provide basic details and register his/her candidature (as above)

and thereafter upload photograph/Signature and fill other details. You can fill your application

later on once registered as per convenience but well before closing date of application. It shall be

ensured by the candidate that all process has been completed before closing date of application as

in advertisement including submission of fee and others.

After filling and clicking on “Save & Proceed” a confirmation message will come and on confirmation

by candidate it will display the filled in form. Here the candidates have option to review and edit

information or proceed to save. On saving the application form a Registration No./ Application No.

will provided to candidate. Candidates are advised to note down the application no. before

confirming on displayed prompt. The same will sent on email address provided and also a SMS will

be sent to mobile no. provided in application form. But candidate are strongly advised to note

down there Registration No./ Application No. when system provides the same on first registration

for future reference.

4.2 Upload Photograph and Signature

Applicants need to upload their latest Photograph and Signature.If Applicant doesn’t have

Photograph and Signature at the time of Registration just click on Skip button, Applicant can upload

Photograph and Signature from My Page. Supported format of file (gif, png, jpg, jpeg)

Note: Preview of Candidate Photo and Signature must be clearly visible to candidate, if

photo/signature image is coming small or not visible in preview on website online then it mean

photo/signature is not as per the AIIMS prescribe format and your application will be rejected. So,

be careful while uploading your photo and signature.

4.3 Complete Your Registration Detail

Applicants are needed to complete their regsitartion process by providing pending details like

educational qualification, experience research etc. Candidates are advised to proceed to

complete their applicatin form rather than skip. On skip it will go to your MyPage as below. You

can also go to edit your application from your MyPage. Your Mypage will display your status

regarding filling of applicatin form.

Candidates have to complete all the five steps displayed on their MyPage before closing date of

application form. When complete all steps will be displayed in green otherwise the application

form will be automatically rejected. It is the responsibility of the candidate to complete his/her

application form in all respect before closing date of application form.

4.4 Registration Fee : How to make payment?

Note

1. Application without application fee will be automatically rejected after last date

and time of submission and nothing can be accepted after closing date of

application.

2. Fees once paid are nonrefundable under any circumstances.

3. Pay your fee through any one mode of payment and that only once.

Applicants can pay the registration fee by any of the two modes of payments available as

follows:-

1. Pay through SBI Bank Challan :

Applicant need to click on Pay through SBI Bank Challan link to generate Bank Challan

fromMy Status section on My Page and deposit the registration fee at nearest SBI Branch.

Challan can be deposited minimum one day after generation of challan, so advisable to

complete your process before time to avoid last day disappointment.

Where fee is deposited through SBI challan the payment would be updated after three

working days in candidate’s MyPage. Once fee is paid thorugh SBI Challan, candidates are

advised not deposit fee again through any other mode of payment as fees are

nonrefundable. Keep your copy of challan with yourself.

2. Pay Online through Debit Card / Credit Card :

Applicant can pay immediately through Debit Card / Credit Card. For this they have to click

on Pay through Debit / Credit Card and they will be redirected to online payment page.

Where fee is paid online, payment would be reflected immediately in candidate’s MyPage.

Where the payment is not reflected immediately, means the system has not received any

payment from your Bank. Where there is deduction from your Bank account and no

reflection of the payment is in your MyPage, you are advised to contact your Bank for

reversal on your own. AIIMS is not responsible for any failed transaction of online payment.

Where the System is showing Fee not paid it means fees are unpaid and you have to pay the

fee as required.

4.5 Generate Your Registration Slip:

After payment of fee and filling other detail you can take a printout of your registration slip from

your MyPage. However it is not mandatory to print your registration slip.

4.6 Submit Application Letter:

After completion of application form and payment of fee, candidates have to send Application

Letter as provided in their MyPage. The Application Letter should be the same as provided in the

MyPage of the candidate.

The applicants are required to submit self-attested certificates/testimonials, other relevant

documents etc. along-with recent passport size photograph and self-attested copies of fee paid

through SBI Bank Challan or fee receipt for payment made through Debit Card/Credit Card in a

sealed envelop “superscribing the name of the post applied for “within 7 (seven) days from the

date of online submission of application to the following address:

5 Instruction for Photographs:

1. One (1) recent colour passport size photograph with light background is required. Black & white/ Polaroid photographs are NOT acceptable.

2. Photograph MUST be snapped on or after 30-09-2012. 3. Photograph must be taken with name of candidate (as in application) and date of taking

photograph. Example : IMPORTANT : (i) The photograph must be snapped with a placard while the placard is being held by the candidate indicating name of candidate and date of taking photograph. In case name and date are written on the photograph after taking it, the application will be rejected. (ii) The name and date on the photograph should be legible.

NOTE: Candidates must upload photograph and signature to correct specified fields. Do not
