You can see the fairgrounds from I65 In this hard time, we all want to get back to how it was before, but we are not going to happen right now. We all must do are part or they will stop the show and send us home. We must wear mask in the ring, and
when we may get closer them 6 feet. When not wearing a mask outside you must keep 6 or more feet apart, We need everyone’s help keeping the show clean and help each other out. Wash your hand a lot, use hand
sanitizer as much as you can. Our Great Judges Uhis year are: Buckeye Regional Terese Evenson, HLAA, ALSA: Joy Bishop, fleece Walking &Shorn, Performance & Halter HLAA, and helped by Buckeye Judge, HLAA ILR Judge Cathy Kindler, Alpaca ALSA Deb Yeagle.
Fun Classes Offered for HLAA Show: Best of Show & Best of Opposite for all shows All Grand Champions Compete.Dam & Cria – Female Llama shows with her Cria (under 6mo.) at her side.Gambler’s Choice- Entry $5 per llama or alpaca. (you can enter more than one) This is a timed obstacle coursefor Sunday as soon as halter is done, that does not follow any rule. Do what you can to get your Llama or Alpaca through the course and complete as many obstacles as you can. (back this year) First Places gets$75% for enter fee, second places $25% of enters. Leaping Llama & Llama Limbo- Entry $2 per class. Will be held on Friday night at 8pm (or as soon as YouthJudging is done) See how high they can fly and how low they can go! Alpacas and Llamas are welcome to be part of this class. First Places gets$75% for enter fee, second places $25% of enters. Open Costume Class- 4 Youth classes (use age from ALSA youth classes) & 1 Adult Classes with prizes for eachclass. To be held on Saturday night after performance is done. SUB-JR Costume class- this class is for the kids to have fun! They do not need a llama/ alpaca to show in thisclass, just a costume and a write-up up about them. If they want to have a llama/alpaca with them, they must have an adult in the ring with them, and the llama or alpaca does not have to be dressed up. The kids are what is being judged, not the animal in this class. The Sub-Jr students will get to show in 4 classes for $15. (Showmanship, Obstacle, PR, and Costume Classes) Silent Auction- This will be during the show day on both Saturday and Sunday. This is to help our YouthScholarship program. Please bring Items for both days Auctions. Please bring your own pen Open youth exhibitors are welcome to enter in the Leaping Llama and Llama limbo classes. Alpacas welcome.You can only show in this show if you are not showing in the other 3 sanction shows (Buckeye, HLAA ALAS, And ILR) Photo contest- No Entry fee. Theme is Halloween, Fall and/or Free style. See entry form.Finished Fiber classes- $5 for first entry, $3 for additional entries- Must be ALSA Member see Entry formfor rules.
Shorn and Walking Fleece classes- Shorn fleece is a 2oz show, can be mailed into the show if not coming to our great show Walking Fleece: starts at 5:00 p.m. on Friday night and ends at 8:00 p.m. It restarts at 8:00 a.m. Saturdayand ends at 9:00 am.

Health Requirements: All animals coming from out of state must have a veterinarian health certificate�dated within 30 days of exhibition.
Eligibility: All llamas, except for those in the Open Youth Show, must have ILR registration except for animals�for Youth or non-breeder ALSA classes.
All Lamas showing in the ILR show must have an ILR number to showShow Rules:This show is approved by the Alpaca and Llama Show Association, Inc. Show will be governed by all rules and guidelines in the 22 Edition of the ALSA Handbook and any addendums as may be published on the ALSA website. Arrival: Arrival time for all exhibitors starts at 2pm on Friday. Stalls will be pre-assigned.
Stalling: 10 x 12 stalls located in horse barn, 3 adults per stall and 4 juveniles or Alpacas per stall. Exhibitors�will provide their own bedding. And clean out your bedding before you leave. We also have the Cattel barn for Stalling if needed.
Departure: All stalls must be cleaned before departure. Please!
Manure: Please do not put any straw, hay or manure in trash cans! Please put it all outside atthe end of the barn. In cement manure bunkers at end of barns, Thanks!
Wool & age Division: Each animal must be entered in its appropriate age and wool division as specified in�the ALSA handbook or ILR Handbook. Animal wool division may not be changed after entries close unless moved with the approval of the judge.
Wool Division: Silky: Copied from ILR rule book: a) Fiber exhibits a very soft or silky handle b) Fiber may exhibit some wave or crinkle but not crimp c) Fiber may exhibit some loft d) Fiber may exhibit luster e) Guard hair is nearly indiscernible f) Coverage may vary from light to heavy g) Ideally entries exhibit the majority of these criteria Suri: The fiber of a Suri Llama should have a natural luster and hang and drape over the llama’s body, forming a natural part along the spine. The fibers are grouped into a very distinctive and well-defined lock structure, which is indicated by the many individual separate locks of fiber formed at the skin and carrying out to the ends of each lock.

Light: Minimal body wool, short neck wool with smooth legs. Medium: Moderate to long body wool, minimal to moderate neck wool, smooth to moderate leg wool. Heavy: Abundant body and neck wool with minimal to abundant leg wool. Non-Breeders: These classes are for geldings, vasectomized males and spayed or non-reproductive females that are suitable for other purposes. Non-Breeders do not have to be registered but, must have a vet certificate. If Non-Breeders are not registered and wish to be in the ALSA award system and wish to show in halter, they must show in the adult Non-Breeder halter class. Produce of Dam: Each entry must include two offspring by the same dam. Produce may be represented by offspring of either sex. All produce must be shown in their appropriate halter class age division. There may be more than one entry for a dam but only the top placing will earn points. The dam will not be shown in this class. The entry is made in the name of the dam. The produce may be declared before the show on the Entry Form or no later than the Produce of Dam class to the Clerk. If you do not own the Dam, you must have written permission from the owner to exhibit the produce. Get of Sire: Each entry must include three offspring by the same sire. Get may be represented by offspring of either sex. All get must be shown in their appropriate halter class age division. Get must represent offspring by at least two different dams. There may be more than one entry for a sire but only the top placing will earn points. The Sire will not be shown in this class. The entry is made in the name of the Sire. The Get and the respective Dams may be declared before the show on the Entry Form or no later than the Get of Sire class to the Clerk. If you do not own the Sire, you must have written permission from the owner to exhibit the get. Llama age division: ALSA & ILR Juvenile 5 to 12 months of age Yearling 12 to 24 months of age Two-year-old 24 to 36 months of age Adult 36 months of age and over ALSA & ILR Youth age Division: Open Youth Classes: Please follow ALSA age divisions. Junior: Handler age 7 through 11 Intermediate: Handler age 12 through 14 Senior: Handler age 15 through 19
Performance Classes: Open Youth
Open Youth show: if exhibiting in this show, you cannot enter in other shows. This Show is for Students that don’t participate in ALSA or ILR shows. Your show is going to start at noon in ring 3 on Saturday.
ALSA Show Youth: Must have a Youth ALSA Number to show in these classes, or Pay $15 non-member fee Novice Class: open to all animals who have earned fewer 3 Grands to bump to advanced 0r 2 Grands and 2
reserves Advanced Class: Open to all entries who have earned the ALSA Novice Champion award. Master Class: Open to all entries who have earned the ALSA Advanced Champion award. You most prove that
your llama or alpaca qualifies by achieving an Advanced title. Send Proof with enters. Pack: If you are entering your young pack lama (5 months to 36 months) in the llama show they will show in the Pack class but their panniers will not have any weight in them. All panniers must be filled out to simulate a packing situation. All packs must have two cinches and it is not required that the panniers be removable. Pack systems must be of an appropriate size to the animal Rules for Performance. Exhibitors are responsible for providing pack equipment. For those animals 36 months and older their pack systems must have removable panniers, 36 months and over: llamas carry 20 lbs. New this year packs will be weighted for llamas over 36 months, see check in table before you show to weight in your packs.
Camping: $30 a night.

Dark=Black, Bay Black, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown, Medium Fawn, Dark Fawn, & some Grays
Mixed= Silver and Rose Grays, Pinto, Fancy, Appaloosa, & Variegated (Dark and Light) Llamas: Fleece Division
Double Coat – 2 discernible fiber types and textures Single Coat – Indiscernible fiber types and textures Suri Coat – No crimp, distinct locks, cool, slick handle
Shorn Fleeces:
A. Have to be sheared, not brushed, from the animal B. A minimum of the full barrel and a maximum of a full prime fleece C. Be sheared within two (2) years of the date of the show D. Have lock structure intact E. Be skirted and handpicked F. Be submitted in clear unmarked plastic bags. The fleeces will be displayed in these bags. G. Staple Length-Juvenile and yearling llamas under 24 months have a minimum of 3-inch undercoat and no maximum length limits. H. Staple Length-Two-year-old, adult, and mature adult llamas 24 months and older have a minimum of 3-inch undercoat and a maximum staple length of 8 inches, including guard hairs.
Shorn Fleeces May Not: (will be disqualified from show)
1. Have guard hairs removed 2. Be washed after shearing 3. Have crème rinse or other fiber chemicals applied prior to or after shearing
Argentine Llama Classes 1. Must be at least ½ Argentine or more and must provide Pedigree 2. Fiber will be judged in proper fiber class then pulled out and points evaluated by points from
first judging and placed in Argentine class. Fiber will only be judge one time, but show in 2 classes.
3. This class is to help gather information on Argentine fiber 4. There is no cost for this class 5. Awards will be given for this class

HLAA Fall Show Fiber Arts Contest 1. This contest is open to ALSA Members2. This show is ALSA Sanctioned3. All work must be the work of the exhibitor.4. Participants may have more than two entry per class.5. Exhibitor must assure that their entry is entered in the correct class.6. Project must include at least 50% llama and or alpaca fiber7. Any entry that is intended to be hung must be ready for hanging with the appropriate hanging
device attached.8. Age of youth contestants will be as of January 1 of the current year.9. Contestants are responsible for bringing their items and picking them up at the designated time.10. HLAA assumes no liability for loss or damage to entries.11. The back of needlework entries may be closed. In crafts, we judge the finished project.12. Judging in the craft contest will be based on: Workmanship (good quality, technique, neat);
Conformation (good color, shape); and Appearance of Display.13. Awards: placemets will be awarded ribbons. Rosettes will be awarded to the top entry14. This has a $5 for first entry and $3 for any additional entries15. Needs to have your name on your piece somehow. Youth need age and Date of birth on project.
