TO BE JESUS’ FRIEND

My name is Anastasia Chutoo and I’m from Holy Family, Rose

Belle parish. I have been part of the Holy Childhood Missionary Society

ever since the 3rd grade at Notre Dame du Refuge school in New Grove

with Miss Corinne Quirin.

Every Thursday, we meet during recreation time to become more

familiar with Jesus. I lived through powerful experiences during retreats

and annual Masses. I met many friends and learned many things from

Father Laval about the Bible and Jesus, etc.

I continued to be part of the Missionary Society of the Holy

Childhood in the parish. In 2016, with other children of the island, we

shared the Word of God and food with the families of the Cité la Cure. It

was a touching experience, an event that I will never forget.

We met two times a month at our parish, sharing the Word and

engaging in other activities: visits, listening, sharing…

A few weeks ago we were in the Church at Cassis for a missionary parade to get to know the

Missionary Society of the Holy Childhood and other children in the parish. I learned much more

about the history of the Holy Childhood in the world and on the islands of Mauritius. The children

of our parish prepared a presentation of the Gospel passage when Jesus was twelve years old.

During these years I learned many things, especially about how to be Jesus’ friend; how to

bear witness; how to help other children in need; how to meet the elderly. Above all, I learned that I

was important in the eyes of God. I grew in faith.

Today, my mission is to share with other children what I had freely received: to share the

Word of God and to encourage other children to become part of the Missionary Society of the Holy

Childhood. Thanks be to God for this gift!

SER AMIGA DE JESÚS

Me llamo Anastasia Chutoo de la Parroquia Santa Famille Rose

Belle. Formo parte de la Infancia Misionera desde cuando frecuentaba

la escuela secundaria, en el colegio Notre Dame du Refuge en New

Grove con la Señorita Corinne Quirin.

Cada jueves nos reuníamos durante el recreo para conocer

mejor a Jesús. He vivido experiencias muy fuertes durante los retiros y

las misas anuales. He conocido mucho amigos y he aprendido muchas

cosas del Padre Laval sobre la Biblia y Jesús, etc.

También sucesivamente he continuado a formar parte de la

Infancia Misionera de la parroquia.

En el 2016 con otros niños de la Isla hemos compartido la

Palabra de Dios y comida con la familias de Citè la Cure. Ha sido una

experiencia conmovedora, en evento que no olvidaré jamás.

No reunimos dos veces al mes en la parroquia para compartir la Palabra y realizar

actividades: visitas, escuchar, compartir.

Algunas semanas atrás hemos estado en la Iglesia de Cassis en la marcha misionera para

hacer conocer la Infancia Misionera a otros niños en la parroquias. He aprendido más cosas

sobre la historia de la Infancia Misionera en el mundo y en la Isla Mauricio. Los niños de nuestra

parroquia han hecho una representación del pasaje Evangélico de cuando Jesús tenia doce años.

Durante estos años he aprendido muchas cosas, sobre todo cómo ser amiga de Jesús, dar

testimonio, ayudar a los otros niños necesitados, encontrar a los ancianos. Y sobre todo que son

importantes a los ojos de Dios. He crecido en la fe.

Hoy, mi misión es compartir con los otros niños lo que he recibido gratuitamente:

compartir la Palabra de Dios y animar a otros niños a formar parte de la Infancia Misionera.
