Aug. 19 Town Meeting in Perkasie

Area residents are invited to a town hall meeting I am holding in Perkasie on Tuesday, Aug. 19, starting at 7 p.m. at the Perkasie Borough Hall, 620 West Chestnut St. A town hall gives me the opportunity to bring residents up to date on some of the top issues with which the state is currently dealing, as well as answer questions from the audience and get feedback on the topics important to you. I encourage everyone to join me for what is sure to be a great discussion.

We, at PACC, are frequently asked what can we do to further the opposition to Common Core? This is your chance to do something for your cause. You can make a difference! You are invited to attend Rep. Paul Clymers town hall meeting on Tuesday, August 19th, starting 7 p.m. at the Perkasie Borough Hall, 620 West Chestnut St. Rep. Clymers town hall meeting on July 17th in Quakertown was a real slugfest. His constituents grilled him on Common Core. As you know, Rep. Clymer is the chairperson of the House Education Committee. Clymer supports Common Core and turns a deaf ear to anyone who opposes it. But he could not hide from his informed constituents that attended the July meeting. The town hall meeting was like the game show Jeopardy with Clymer coming in last place, more like he never made it to final Jeopardy.

Lets join up and take our cause to Rep Clymer. Ask the questions in areas that concern you. I am sure some of these Common Core issues are important to you, such as

Keystone tests and their proficient requirement for graduation Impact to special education

District costs to implement and sustain Common Core

Data collection and student privacy Loss of local control

RemediationSo, if you are looking for an eventful night out, come join us to see ifRep. Clymer can AT LEAST make it to final Jeopardy.
