Project Management CertificateIn our Project Management program, students gain the management skills required to bring projects in on time and within budget. The curriculum covers the Project Management Institute’s (PMI™) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK™), which serves as the fundamental knowledge base for project management. In addition, the program qualifies as the education requirement needed to sit for PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) examinations. Project Management with Microsoft ProjectThis one-month course is designed to give experienced project managers an understanding of and confidence using Microsoft Project 2013. Through individual, hands-on participation in the software’s features and functions, the course focuses on CPM scheduling, with brief references to Critical Chain and Agile project management methodologies as they relate to Microsoft Project 2013. Assistive Technology Specialist Certificate •• OnlineFederal and state laws require that school personnel be prepared to offer a full range of assistive technology services to disabled persons. This program prepares students to fully understand and implement these state and federal mandates. All of the courses offered meet the professional development hours for license renewal as required by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board. The program is useful for educational administrators, teachers, special education teachers, occupational and physical therapists, speech and language specialists, rehabilitation specialists, program specialists, resource specialists and psychologists. Alcohol and Drug Counseling CertificateOur Alcohol and Drug Counseling program, which is widely recognized by alcohol treatment centers, prepares students for entry into the substance abuse counseling field. Abuse of many kinds of substances is covered, including alcohol, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and pcp. Also covered are process addiction (such as eating disorders, gambling and sex addictions) and domestic violence. All courses provide Extension Credit and a board-approved provider number for registered nurses and teachers. Students who successfully complete the certificate may ap-ply for certification with the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Pro-fessionals (CCAPP). The 11-course program can be completed in under two years.

The Paralegal Certificate Course® •• OnlineStudents enrolled in this intensive, nationally acclaimed program are trained to assist trial attorneys, interview witnesses, investigate complex fact patterns, research the law and assist in preparing cases for courtroom litigation. The instruction is practice-oriented and relates to those areas of the law in which legal assistants are most in demand.
