PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION_____________________________________________________

Teaching has always been a vocation rather than a job for me. My objective is to provide my students with an environment that promotes the joy of learning. Each child should be excited about learning and discovery. I understand that children learn best through exploration and not through pedantic methods that appeal to their ears and not to all of their senses. I feel strongly that children should enjoy school and feel safe and comfortable. I believe in a classroom that is child-centered where the learning is driven by the students and directed by the teacher. I also understand the need to establish an environment of respect and responsibility; one where my students follow rules and routines and develop a sense of community. My objective is to create a student friendly classroom.
