• Offer over 50 subjects in VCE• Approximately 4000 students from prep-12• Most students are school based single subject VCE

students• Online VCE studies


How Distance Education WorksVCE Courses are delivered online via a learning management system (Moodle) and contain:• Reading material• Interactives• Online Assessments & Quizzes• Video tutorials• Forums to exchange views

Courses have live weekly online lessons that are also recorded for later viewing.


How Distance Education WorksVCE Curriculums are divided into discrete weeks of work• Unit 3 (16 weeks)• Unit 4 (16 weeks)

Student/Teacher Feedback loops• Students have a subject teacher• Work showing progress in course is required to be submitted by

students every week• Feedback regularly provided by Teacher via email, skype, phone

or sometimes in person


How Distance Education WorksTeaching is adapted based on student responses.

Teacher can supply or suggest extra learning materials to personalise student learning.

Regular and specific improvement points are provided to students so that learning is

informed.
