    In 1998, Assistance League of Greater

    Cincinna became the 101st chapter of

    Naonal Assistance League.

    Today, Assistance League of Greater

    Cincinna enjoys an increasingmembership, supports many successful

    community programs and is recognized

    by a wide variety of generous sponsors

    and other philanthropic groups.

    The proud, dedicated and hard-

    Operaon School Bell

    Provides new school uniforms and

    hygiene items to students in Cincinna

    and Northern Kentucky public and

    parochial schools who have been

    idened by school ocials and

    personnel as children in need. Fleecejackets, pants, shirts, shoes, underwear,

    socks and hygiene items are purchased

    and directly distributed by volunteers.

    Members also tutor children from

    public schools.

    Trauma

    Care

    Kits

    Focuses on vicms of assault and domesc

    violence. Assault Survivor Kits containing

    hygiene products and new clothing are

    purchased, packed in bags and distributed to

    hospital emergency rooms in Southern Ohio

    and Northern Kentucky to vicms of assault

    and rape. Domesc Violence Kits containing

    new clothing, hygiene products and journals

    are packed in bags and delivered to womens

    shelters in Southern Ohio and NorthernKentucky and distributed to vicms of

    domesc violence.

    College

    Starter

    Kits

    Fullls selected needs of college students by

    providing a ash drive, calculator, planner,

    paper and other basic school supplies. These

    items are given to the nancial aid ocers

    at colleges for distribuon to students with

    limited nancial resources.

    New Beginnings

    Focuses on vicms of domesc violence.

    Essenal new household items such as dishes,

    pots and pans, bedding, small appliances and

    childrens items are packed and delivered to

    womens shelters for distribuon to vicms

    of domesc violence who are establishing ahousehold away from their abusers.

    College Scholarship

    Students are selected from the Gen-1 Theme

    House at the University of Cincinna. They

    are awarded paral Gen-1 housing grants

    and designatedAssistance League Scholars.
