ALFA NERO

Page 2: Alfa nero

ALFA NERO was designed for one of the most discerning yachtsman in the world and the innovative design and in particular the design of the swimming pool on the after main deck that converts to a helipad has changed the styling and use of many large new constructions since ALFA NERO was launched. It has become the trend setter for ultimate design and function.

ALFA NERO has advanced the design and innovative nature of all large yacht designs today and the way in which this innovation transcends not only from exterior design but to the use of very unique finishes throughout make this THE yacht to own that is floating today.

The upper deck is given over to the owner’s residence. The aft deck includes settees that flank a skylight. The sky-lounge and dining room are surrounded with wenge panels and what has come to be known as the “golf ball” wall. Scalloped panels are covered in white lacquer with a mother-of-pearl look, giving the walls a textured effect reminiscent of abstract, flattened golf balls. The wall covering enlarges the room’s appearance and sets the mood to that of a European nightclub even in the light of day. The swimming pool on the main deck converts to a heli pad which is one of the most innovative things seen on any yacht in the past.

GENERALThe owner and guest accommodations and amenities have been designed to give maximum comfort for the guests onboard to allow for easy access to all areas and with the glass elevator transcending from the upper deck to the main deck down to the lower deck levels.

OWNERThe owner’s suite enjoys two separate entrances. Entry is made through sliding doors into either the owner’s office or the dressing area. The closet doors that line the office entrance are floor to ceiling aluminium/zinc embossed with wavy diagonal lines that suggest a current. The main wood surface is louro faia, a striking Brazilian lacewood. The lace grain is detailed in silver and finished in a high gloss. Visual entertainment is through a 50” high definition plasma screen equipped with 5:1 surround sound. The bathroom is located off to port in the aft section of the suite. A steam shower and Jacuzzi tub have a relaxed yet chic feel provided by grey-flannel marble, stainless steel and wood. The offset bath lets the bed and lounge occupy the full width of the space and provides unfettered access to the patio with its private hot tub. The patio is not visible or accessible from any other point aboard the yacht, so ensuring the owner complete privacy.

GUESTSThere is a VIP cabin on the lower deck to starboard, a full width VIP cabin on the main deck forward plus 3 other generously sized cabins aft of the VIP on the main deck. Each guest cabin was designed to have a unique visual experience in his or her stateroom. To that end, each cabin has a distinctive air achieved through the use of coloured leathers and other soft goods. The Pinto interior finishes here are of a contemporary tone replete with focused nuances that are inviting and relaxing without being overpowering. The bathroom walls in the VIP cabins feature a wainscot latticework of maple, birch and anigre finishes. The floors are a mosaic of giallo elisa, black slate and noce travertine marbles. The hallway to the 4 guest staterooms is lined with 8” x 10” frames displaying black-and-white, low-contrast pictures of seashells.

CREWThere is crew accommodation for 26 in 14 cabins plus two officers/owner staff cabins all located on the lower deck with the captain’s cabin located on the sky-lounge deck aft of the wheelhouse.
