Becoming a Veterinarian

There are many jobs in the medical field all over the world that are all different. Have you ever thought about caring for animals back to their health, and making them happy? What about learning how to medically help any type of animal? What about being able to treat animals anywhere and whenever. If you have thought about any of these things then a veterinarian may be the job for you. There are so many reasons to way I have always wanted to be a veterinarian, and why I think its the perfect job for me.Veterinarians are medical doctors that treat all animals whether they are big or small (veterinary). Veterinarians have a lot of duties, rather than just treating and diagnosing animals (Bureau). There are different types of veterinarians also. Some veterinarians are responsible for preventing and controlling animal diseases to reach humans (Bureau). Other vets are responsible for treating small animals, while some treat livestock (veterinary). Not only do vets treat and diagnose animals they give surgeries and subscribe medicines (Bureau). There are many requirements to becoming a veterinarian. The biggest requirement is getting an education. For beginning educating to becoming a veterinarian you start taking Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Anatomy in your high school classes (Chambers 921). While taking those high school classes you must get Bs and up (Chambers 923). After high school you must have two years of pre-vet college (veterinary). After two years of pre-vet college you take four years of Medicine College (Chambers 922). After completing college courses you must graduate with a Doctoral and professional degree (Bureau). Another important thing to do is regulating your education courses to maintain your animal licenses (Chambers 922).
