The designs for these generous rooftop garden terraces are

intended to illustrate the potential types of uses and lifestyles

that can be captured for individual homeowners.

The unit architecture divided each roof terrace into two distinct

spaces which are connected internally by an open corridor.

The traditional formal architecture of the Alexandria Residences

can be personalized on the rooftop terraces allowing the

homeowner to design their space in various forms and not

conflict with the general building style. Because of this, a broad

range of looks and materials are suggested from traditional

formal designs to contemporary and very modern styling.

Additionally the two roof terrace areas create the opportunity for

different treatments within each terrace.

The designs illustrate the many components available such as:

outdoor kitchens and serveries, formal or informal dining

and lounging arrangements, outdoor fireplaces and water effects,

metal or wood overhead arbors and privacy screens, hot tub/

spas, sound systems, dramatic lighting effects, container gardens,

raised cedar sun tanning platforms, exotic wood, stone or tile

flooring, and workout equipment with yoga mats. These are some

of the custom designs available to each homeowner.

The Contemporary landscape plan is ideal for enjoying your rooftop paradise year

round. The hot tub can be covered by a retractable awning to keep out snow and rain, or can be drawn in for a perfect view of the stars.

The seating is flexible with large comfortable chairs that can be grouped around the modern fireplace. On the side wall is a large

servery/cupboard for storage. This is surrounded by natural modern planters to create a calming

space for relaxation and easy entertaining.

On the opposite wall, the large outdoor kitchen can be customized to include amenities

such as a BBQ, sink, prep space, dishwasher and wine fridge. The convenient rooftop indoor

seasonal storage is perfect for keeping your furniture dry and eliminating clutter.

The traditional landscape plan is perfect for entertaining guests and

functions in multiple seasons. The formal dining table serves 6-8 and is complemented by the

outdoor sofa for after dinner drinks. The large outdoor kitchen has plenty of space for preparing

and finishing food, letting you still be part of the party.

Gorgeous flagstone pavers throughout the space are complemented by planters

and lush foliage. This plan mixes sun and shade and brings the best of both worlds with sun loungers that can easily be covered by an overhead shade structure. As well,

the metal arbour with climbing hydrangea offers natural sun protection while lounging on the padded couch. The gazebo heaters help keep the chill away and a warm fire can be turned

on in seconds in the gas fireplace
