Trade & Investment Commissionerfor Latin America

Alex Pessagno was appointed as the Trade & Investment Commissioner for Latin America in February 2014. Trade & Investment Queensland’s representative office is based in Santiago, Chile and works across Latin America with a focus on the Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Peru markets.

Prior to joining Trade & Investment Queensland, Alex worked for over 20 years in domestic and international business development and marketing in Latin America, the United States and Europe for multinational companies, including KPMG, Ericsson and MCI, and several small and medium sized companies.

During his career he has lived in Argentina, Mexico, the United States of America, Spain and Chile. Alex holds a Master’s Degree in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University in Virginia, United States of America and a Law Degree from Museo Social Argentino University in Argentina.
