What kind of media institution might distribute your media
product and why?
We All Fall Down is a Thriller/Horror film which could appeal to many distributors. Distributors that would
perhaps be drawn to our film are Lionsgate, Hammer, Universal or its subsidiary Rogue. These companies
would likely distribute our product because they have been known to distribute Thriller/Horror films in the past
- some very similar to our opening sequence.
Films that these companies have distributed that are similar to our opening sequence:

What methods of distribution would you use?
The methods of distribution we would use for We All Fall Down would be cinema
multiplex releases, film festivals and trailers on the television. These would be most
effective because our film is new, and has a popular storyline in terms of Thriller/
Horror films so reaching a wider audience would be most appropriate. Cinemamultiplexes would be most suitable (over independent cinemas) because our film is
new, exciting and has a storyline that some people are familiar with, but has some
differences the fact that it is filmed like Paranormal Activity (video cameras), and
yet has little-to-no gory scenes making it more of a psychological killer doll Thriller/
Horror. Film Festivals would be appropriate for our film, as it is a new film and these
Would help to promote it to a wide audience. Trailers on television (perhaps only
in the UK at first, whilst the film was still new) would attract a mass audience, and
encourage people to come and see the film. The trailer would show key aspects of
the film, without giving too much away and making audiences want to come and
see our film fully similar to the affect our opening sequence has.
What time of year would you distribute your film and why?
The most appropriate time to release our film would be in September-October; preferably October half-term.This is because this time period is close to Halloween, where most people are looking for scary
things to entertain them. The feel of Halloween also creates a fearful atmosphere, so releasing
a Thriller/Horror at this time period would attract our desired target audience 15yrs + who
like psychological Thriller/Horrors. Releasing a Thriller/Horror around Halloween also would
make the storyline stick with the person for a long time afterwards, as it would have a longer
lasting scary-effect on them due to it being Halloween.
