1 Introduction This document is the result of the certification tests performed between the AAPP member’s application and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise’s platform. It certifies proper inter-working with the AAPP member’s application. Information contained in this document is believed to be accurate and reliable at the time of printing. However, due to ongoing product improvements and revisions, ALE International cannot guarantee accuracy of printed material after the date of certification nor can it accept responsibility for errors or omissions. Updates to this document can be viewed on:

    - the Technical Support page of the Enterprise Business Portal (https://businessportal.alcatel-lucent.com) in the Application Partner Interworking Reports corner (restricted to Business Partners)

2 Validity of the InterWorking Report This InterWorking report specifies the products and releases which have been certified. This inter-working report is valid unless specified until the AAPP member issues a new major release of such product (incorporating new features or functionalities), or until ALE International issues a new major release of such Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise product (incorporating new features or functionalities), whichever first occurs. A new release is identified as following:

a “Major Release” is any x. enumerated release. Example Product 1.0 is a major product release.

a “Minor Release” is any x.y enumerated release. Example Product 1.1 is a minor product release

The validity of the InterWorking report can be extended to upper major releases, if for example the interface didn’t evolve, or to other products of the same family range. Please refer to the “IWR validity extension” chapter at the beginning of the report.

Note 1: The InterWorking report becomes automatically obsolete when the mentioned product releases are end of life.

Note 2: The renewal of the interoperability test (certification) is under the responsibility of the partner except if the certification fee is included in the program fee (e.g. “Application Partner” membership level) in this case ALE will schedule a new certification every two year

3 Limits of the Technical support

For certified AAPP applications, Technical support will be provided within the scope of the features which have been certified in the Interworking report. The scope is defined by the InterWorking report via the tests cases which have been performed, the conditions and the perimeter of the testing and identified limitations. All those details are documented in the IWR. The Business Partner must verify an InterWorking Report (see above “Validity of the InterWorking Report) is valid and that the deployment follows all recommendations and prerequisites described in the InterWorking Report.

The certification does not verify the functional achievement of the AAPP member’s application as well as it does not cover load capacity checks, race conditions and generally speaking any real customer's site conditions.

Any possible issue will require first to be addressed and analyzed by the AAPP member before being escalated to ALE International. Access to technical support by the Business Partner requires a valid ALE maintenance contract For details on all cases (3

rd party application certified or not, request outside the scope of this IWR,

etc.), please refer to Appendix F “AAPP Escalation Process”.

3.1 Case of additional Third party applications

In case at a customer site an additional third party application NOT provided by ALE International is included in the solution between the certified Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and AAPP member products such as a Session Border Controller or a firewall for example, ALE International will consider that situation as to that where no IWR exists. ALE International will handle this situation accordingly (for more details, please refer to Appendix F “AAPP Escalation Process”).

Additional EHS with the 8029s/8039s phones have been tested using the Jabra Link 14201-45 adapter. SATA plug component of the Link 14201-45 is not compatible on these phones. Answering and termination of calls however is supported using the 4pole jack adapter included in the Link 14201-45 box and setting the Jabra Wireless Base in MSH mode. Ring tone can be supported as well by connecting a magnetic ring sensor/coil (currently not included in Link 14201-45 solution). The Ring sensor is currently included in the Link 14201-35 or the GN 1000 Hook lifter. Summary of Edition 6 validation [September 2018]. 5.3 Bluetooth 1:1 connection Direct Bluetooth 1:1 connection is for most cases functional, some items though have been observed which is planned to be fixed around Q2 2016.

Jabra Evolve 65 is not recommended to use with Alcatel 8088 directly 1:1 Bluetooth, due to audio distortion issues. Note 1: There are some instability issues with the connection being dropped on occasions. Solution is to power cycle the headset or shut down bluetooth interface and restart it on the deskphone. Note 2: In an incoming call the 8088 does not display ‘Recovery Call’ and stops ‘ringing’ when the Bluetooth headset is turned off. Note 3: During an active call, if volume is changed from the headset, audio level is in sync but the volume bar on the 8088 is not reflecting the level change. This note applies to all Alcatel Lucent Enterprise phones Note 4: no call control / Need to activate Speaker to have audio on headset with DECT 500

6 Restrictions This section describes the known restrictions for the tested deskphones. These restrictions are related to the phone itself, not to GN Netcom headset usage.

    6.1 Known Restrictions

    6.1.1 For all deskphones

Answering a second call is not possible from the headset. This second call should be only answered from the hardphone.

There is no mute synchronization between the headset and the hardphone. When a call is muted from headset, it should be unmuted from the headset. When a call is muted from the hardphone, it should be unmuted from the hardphone.

When headset is connected or disconnected, the headset icon is displayed or removed after 10 seconds.

6.1.2 USB connection on ‘S’ and 8018 with some Jabra headsets

As per November 2018 there are some USB compatibility issues with the ‘S’ labelled desk phones as well as the 8018 Alcatel Deskphone. This means USB headset will not work at all. Currently this task is being investigated by the R&D department at Jabra. Jabra devices implicated with this issue is Jabra Speak series, Link 360 USB dongle and the Biz 2400 II UC variants.

    6.1.3 For Bluetooth connected headset

Volume modification is synchronized between Alcatel Lucent Enterprise phone and the Bluetooth headset, but the volume bar is not updated on the Alcatel Lucent Enterprise when the volume is modified on the headset.

When the Evolve 65 headset is connected directly with the Bluetooth radio on the deskphone e.g. 8068, user need to perform a long press on the headset in order to retrieve the audio to the headset if the audio e.g. is the conversation audio is in the handset.

    6.1.4 For DECT Series

There is no headset icon displayed on the screen when a headset is plugged

Audio level can’t be modified from the headset with a wired headset.

Audio level can’t be modified from the handset with a Bluetooth headset.

Mute can’t be activated from the headset with a wired headset.

When a paired bluetooth headset is started during a call, audio stay established with the handset. The user needs to push the call button on the bluetooth headset.

Call control (answer or disconnect the call) is not supported with a wired headset.

Ringing Tone is not played on the headset, but only played on the phone.

    6.1.5 For OmniTouch 8232/8242

Audio level can’t be modified from the headset.

Mute can’t be activated from the headset.

Low noise can be heard in a Jack connected headset on OmniTouch 8242 when the DECT phone is on its charging station reference FW7713. Charging station reference TEN PAO has to be used to avoid this issue.

There are some instability issues with the connection being dropped on occasions. Solution is to power cycle the headset or shut down Bluetooth interface and restart it on the deskphone.

In an incoming call the 8088 does not display ‘Recovery Call’ and stops ‘ringing’ when the Bluetooth headset is turned off.

    6.1.8 For 8088/USB

Call control (answer or disconnect the call) is not supported.

Audio remain in the deskphone when answered on phone, has to manually transfer to the headset or speakerphone from phone menu.

    6.1.9 For 8028s/8058s/8068s/8078s USB

Phone and headset does not support synchronized mute

Refer to table in summary section for a full overview of products not supported.
