Albury-Wodonga has progressively developed into a thriving, innovative and fast growing region for manufacturing and industry.

Located on the border of New South Wales and Victoria, Albury-Wodonga is made up of two cities situated on the banks of the Murray River. When combined as a twin city, Albury-Wodonga is Australia’s 18th largest city with a population of 103,000 residents.

An ever increasing number of manufacturing and industrial businesses have chosen Albury-Wodonga as their production headquarters because of

the natural strengths of the region, its strategic location, attractive workforce, infrastructure and land availability.

Manufacturing is the largest industry sector in Albury-Wodonga, employing 14.8 per cent of the workforce, and generating more than $856 million annually in value added activity. Albury-Wodonga is home to a broad range of industry ranging from large multi-nationals through to small niche producers and is underpinned by several strong industries giving it a stable base and diversity.

To assist in the regions promotional

activities, there is an ongoing need for an up-to-date investment document highlighting the growth and diversity of the wide range of manufacturing and industrial activity in Albury-Wodonga.

This publication raises awareness of the diverse services provided by the manufacturing and industrial sector locally and contains relevant information for local, national and overseas organisations.

This register has been developed with the aim of generating collaborative partnerships and attracting new industry to create more local employment.
